I participated in Silas's moral event, the 'Fight Night' and to my surprise won the event and was called 'Supreme Champion of the first Fight Night'. It was a great deal of good, as it allowed me to test my skills and further develop my training.
I faced the likes of Sparte, Lady Dulcinea, the Dame Serafine (who I have most recently became friends with, out of admiration or mutual respect I have yet to decide) and I managed to defeat them all. They are more than worthy fighters, capable of great things.
I would love to face them again, not only for the benefit of my own training, but for the mere joy of battling them. After all, they say you don't really know someone until you've crossed swords with them.
It was a good decision to participate. I must say, I missed my Rubicund greatsword....it was heavier than the iron sword I used. It felt strange.

Relationship Note on Dulcinea
Entered a brief altercation with the Lady Dulcinea.
She was rather displeased with me calling her 'selfish'. It was all done in jest mind you, thankfully, she appears to have forgiven me.
the Lady is a good shot with a bow, as when we had faced each other at the 'Fight Night' hosted by Silas, she was able to win a few blows on me, despite my victory.
It was fun, I would like to face her again sometime, except maybe without her ire this time.

She is a good woman from what I have seen.
At times maybe a tad selfish, but her heart is in all the right places. She is a good Lady, and an even better ally.

Relationship Note on Calypso
My dear cousin, she never ceases to impress me with how much she's grown and how much her swordplay has improved since our years training with each other.
She is a phenomenal fighter and was a great help to me as I practiced my swordplay, specifically in not just trusting the darksteel (to which she also provided me as a gift..alas, I cannot thank her enough) alone to defend me, thus did I practice in great extent these past few days on parries and flourishes. I managed to barely defeat her unharmed, as I was able to surprise myself with the ability to keep up wit her movements and match her strike for strike, block for block.
I will never be grateful enough for how much she has helped me.

Relationship Note on Caelis
My dear sister, when one faulters, the other supports.
She is my rock when I was weak. Caelis helped me process the grief of my late wife, Victoria, and helped me in the right direction to truly honor her memory. Never would I wish for anyone else to help me through my struggle.
It's her and I against the world and I would want it no other way. You can trust I will be there for you as you have always been there for me, as it has always been, so let it remain.

Yesterday at the family dinner, I arrived with my dear sister Caelis where we both enjoyed the loving and warm company of our family...and of course our friends from the Saik.
A good time was had by all, and the heroes of the battles of Pridehall and Giant's Fall were rewarded with medals in honor of their courage and valor. I must say, I wasn't expecting to get any sort of reward, as serving my family and defending them successfully against the horde is more than good enough reward, in and of itself.
However, it is nice to be acknowledged admittedly.

Too much is coming forth from legends and believes.
I am not what one would call a devout follower of myths and legends.....but I must say, I keep finding myself dumbfounded. Today we saw her, the Queen of End and Beginning, or something like that. The city is hers, and we, her guardians.

I am beyond happy to see my dear cousin once more. She was almost always with Ini (Inigo) at the hip, and I enjoyed spending time with her as children.

Ever since my return to the family, I felt in the beginning I didn't know my sister like I used to. I am happy to say that notion has changed extensively.

Relationship Note on Luca
The kid has grown up so much. I faced him in a one on one match in the Southport training area and to my great surprise, I could not land a single hit on the man. Too agile. I was mightily impressed with him.
I used to be able to defeat him in a match...but then I left. I return to find out he is a monster at combat, a technique that I don't recognize.
I've seen him fight now, I know how he fights. Perhaps next time will be different.
I'm proud of the warrior he's become.

Relationship Note on Ophelia
She continues to impress me, and gain my affection simultaneously. Two days before I set out, I found that she had indulged with Serah her jam recipe...I found them both hilariously in a -sticky- spot.
Ophelia is slowly making her own space in my heart. She is a good person to have in one's life. I am happy I placed Serah in her care.
P.S she treats Serah just like her mother once did. It is a very admirable quality, one that I would not want changed for the world.

Relationship Note on Dulcinea
The morning before I left with the battalion for the war camp, I decided to train in the ring, get used to the swing of the blade very well before I set out. During my training, I met a rather wonderful lady by the name of Dulcinea.
She was very kind to me, and at her behest, I now carry her favor for all who go to war.

My dear sister and my baby girl Serah have really bonded. I am happy of this, Serah needs that female influence in her life.
My heart warms at the sight of their connection every time I think of it. I'm happy Caelis never lost her love of children, she seems to feed her dreams and pride rather nicely.

Inigo, good cousin and even better friend.
We grew up together as children, he was always better with words. In a sense we were often messing around, training together, and other shenanigans.
It is good to see him again, I hope to talk with him more soon.

We have always had small bickers on what we disagreed with each other with, so long as it was a serious topic. We recently butted heads on what love should be...which could have gone better.
Recently, we made peace and caught up what we have missed for the past few years. I told her about Victoria, my late wife, and she told me about the man who turned her view on love sore. I love my sister, to my innermost being, I truly do.
I hope she finds what she's looking for, with all my heart I do.
