Being at sea has been refreshing to my soul, and letting Sorrel experience sailing on a long trip with Thrax has been a real joy to my heart. She is not just beautiful and deadly, she adapts well and her sea legs are growing at a rapid pace, probably has something to do with all her dancing skills.

A pleasurable afternoon wrapped in a warm coral concoction, of beauty, and ginger tea; was the paradoxically steely cool Princess Sorrel. Business and babies, warmth and cool resolve, compassion and strict standards. I haven't wanted to wrap someone up in a protective bubble and also stand behind them as they fight for me at the same time before. A wonder of a woman, to be sure, and someone to safely remain on the /good/ side of if you're wise.

Just to note, I am a commoner. And I can tell you for a fact there is a rich and wonderful life out there beyond seasilk and piles of silver.
I wouldn't send my children away for the wealth and privilege of the nobility. However, I don't dare judge someone who has.
I sincerely hope the mother is comfortable with this decision and it was made freely.

Should I not return, I think it is only fitting that I write to my wife for the world to see. She is my everything, the book of my vows is as much true now as it was when I first presented it to her.
My world, the anchor that draws back my wrath when it rises, the humor that brightens my day. One of my greatest joys is that we both know how to not take ourselves too seriously.
If I must die so be it, but my prayers are that she would live, that our child would live. I hate bad enough that she goes into battle, but it is her desire and her gift.
Let no one doubt the strength of my love for Sorrel.

There was a rush to marry Sorrel before we set off to battle and truly, I have spent all of the time permissible with her, I have longed to find a mate like her and blessed that our joining was so well received by both of our families. She truly completes every part of me and I cannot seem to remember how I managed without my Princess.
In her I find a strength I was unaware I had, and an even greater burning desire to destroy that which comes for us, though that is another entry.

If House Telmar is the clenched fist of Valardin, then House Wyrmguard is the fingers on that first, helping guide it to its target. In these troubled times, I am glad to call Lady Sorrel Wyrmguard, Wyrmguard's newly appointed Voice, a friend. Although warm and kind, she has a keen mind and will lead her people with the strength they require.
