Good and comprehensive. My thanks for putting together something with so much actual information, maybe this will answer some questions others look to Thrax with answers when they'd be better off just talking to the Prince and camaraderie themselves.

Ya know sometimes it gets stuffy thinking about the past. Thinking on Dominic and his passing, who really thought war-pigs were a good idea? Fuckers eat everything but damn it all, he went for it. That was his entire way of life and I can respect it.
When that gets a little too drowsy I can think on past battles. Something you might think gives me plenty of fucking reminiscing. But sometimes even that ain't a story I'll share with a couple of drinking partners. I like many was a stupid child, and stupid children do stupid shit. I did a lot of stupid child shit the first time I could hold an axe for myself. Somehow I didn't manage to break everything though. Duchess Margot who I can stray close enough to call 'friend' is proof of that.
Now I'm here. Married. Ruler. Tossing Prince Talen off boats one day, sitting quietly at the dinner table the next. I don't feel real fucking stable no more, but times of change will fuck you up bad like that.
By the end of everything though, I think I'm gonna end up leaving a decent mark.

Velenosa does know how to throw a proper party, and their new ship is very pretty too. I might not be the biggest fan as my preferential vessel is one that stacks a lot more manpower and weaponry, but the Carlotta clearly ain't a ship that's meant to go headlong into the fray. Discovery beyond the waves is something I'll leave in the hands of the intellectuals and the ones with wanderlust. My place has been, always will be, at the helm to driving our enemies back.
Not to mention, that lovely 'crunch' when a Dromond smacks straight into a an oncoming ship is the kind of satisfaction you only get to hear a few times a year, if that. There's nothing quite like it when you really get down to it.

It's good to have friends who just get it. Eleyna and Talen both are a power couple that I'm glad to call friends, they make shifting through the bullshit much more sane.

It feels good to lose.
You spend so much fucking time cooped up, surrounded by paperwork and blabbering mouths when you've got a heaping load of responsibility. Feels less like you're a person living and just a person doing. Getting beat in competition is a good reminder that there's still a bit of life left to live before you turn yourself in to the wheel. Or Gods forbid, more silky sheets.
Of course with that said, Audric and Magpie are probably not human. Just a head's up for any of you investigative types that wanna go sniffing around like you do.

If anyone wants to debate the economics of Thralldom or how many Thralls can be removed safely and securely, they are welcome to come to Thraxian sources who have lived and worked with these conditions for sometime. Because as far as I've heard, there hasn't been any total economic crashes beyond what Kennex suffers right now, or any conspiratorial sabotage. Likewise, we're seeing how fucking difficult it is to just wave a hand and try to make it all go away without bringing the fucking roof down.
It's a system that's been rooted in place for far longer than most of us today have been alive. There's dependency on it that goes beyond the servitude of those Thralls. We're seeing it now with the disorder caused in Kennex. Hundreds are dead and more that are innocent are falling prey to piracy, banditry, and possibly losing their lives due the whole economy being destabilized.
Kennex was one of the most progressive houses, with the least population of Thralls across the whole damn Mourning Isles. And this is how /they/ are getting along with one mistake in approaching Thralldom.
It's not black and white, it's certainly not grey either. You can't deal with it immediately, you can't deal with it in negligence. More than Thralls are being hurt and 15 million silver later, there's still going to be lives that will have to be rebuilt.
No, it's not a fair system and it's not a healthy system. But it's here, and whether you call it a 'necessary evil' or an abomination, it's gotta be handled one smart step at a time to be deconstructed. Otherwise, you doom more than the people who you try to save with good intentions.

Change is a scary thing. It's difficult, it's new, it means stepping outside the comfort of how things have always been. But there's a lot to learn from it to. Adapting, evolving. I've spoken of it before but I think it's plenty fucking relevant now. The hand of change can't be forced. It'll move at its own pace.
You can encourage it, you can nurture it, you can motivate it to speed along. Really, you should if you want to make a difference too. But ya' can't make it sit and heel on your command. I hope that something we can take from the lot of this shit is that there needs to be steps, planning, caution and most importantly patience.
Every little movement in a body of water is gonna alter the waves. Whether you're splashing like a motherfucker, going at an even pace, or just sitting still and being an obstacle for it to bypass. Swim well, the lot of you. We'll get through this yet.
