Having gotten back from my brother's pilgrimage, I would like to say..I learned so much. From every stop(Where everyone was most welcoming), from every person that attended. We even went pearl-fishing off of Pearlspire. We ran into pirates. I mean, it was quite the adventure. Nothing like what I expected. I'm so honored to have sailed with these people. Even Ravna. Who spent his time not sober. I'm not sure how he did it. But he did it. Not falling overboard. Not even once. I came home with a new sense of peace. A sense of serenity that I feel I've been missing for quite sometime.
All in all, I learned what a strong force Mangata is. She is fierce and lovely, as well as peaceful. The sea as always should be respected and if you're not ready to respect her, keep your feet on land.

Before I took on my current commanding leadership of the Phoenix Brigade, I was commanding Southport's City Guard. I had started a project regarding the land defenses within the city. It was a lot of traveling back and forth, a lot of correspondences. Now however, I can finally say it's completed. I've seen it. It will give our enemies second thought of trying to enter our home. I'm grateful for all the help I received to get it finished!

I bought myself a horse at the Halfshav auction. Me. The one who is most definitely NOT a horse whisperer. I've just now started learning how to ride, so leave it to me to choose the most spirited filly I could find. And she looks to be wearing socks. This should be interesting. I am a woman of medicine and blades, not---large animals. My father is laughing at me, I know it.

The long hours is absolutely nothing compared to what other are going through. I'm positive that we will work through this like we have everything else in the City.

To everyone that took the time to come, thank you. I really have no words other than that. Sometimes with all the stresses going on, all a person needs is their friends and family and that's exactly what I got. I appreciate you all!

We hosted Arx's biggest boast this evening. And while Pasquale and I have different tastes in a few things, we did agree on a winner. It looks to be that this will be a common event. Sleep comes hard these days. My thoughts keep me awake more often than I care to admit. I find myself drifting to many of the words I've said. The actions I've done. I've never been perfect, I've made many mistakes. But I've always owned up to them. I've tried to learn from them. We're always learning. These are the nights I find myself at the shrine of Lagoma. Change is hard. Facing it, admitting to it? That is what makes you that much stronger. My aim is to be better than I was yesterday. Than I was last year. Let's see how it goes.

I was awoken from a dead sleep to...screaming. Loud screaming. So I rushed out in time to a loud howl. I thought for a brief a moment that it was Finn, but no. He was still on the couch sleeping. Still running, blade in hand, I went to follow the scream but found..nothing. What is going on?! I apologize for the glimpse to those that saw me running in just well--a robe. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Attended Feast of Remembrance last eve. I enjoyed the idea, of bringing a loved ones favorite dish and sharing a memory. I naturally shared one about my father. It was also enjoyable to listen to others as well.

Relationship Note on Caprice
I received my outfit for the Masquerade Ball from Messere Caprice Artiglio this evening. It is absolutely amazing and she is did such an amazing job! I don't wear gowns TOO often, but I would certainly recommend her to anyone. And would wear anything by her design again.
And no. I'm not telling you anything about. You'll just have to guess at the Ball. Not even sorry!

Attended Aunt Eirene's wedding today. And Mihaly's. I'll include him since he was there too. But in all seriousness, it was beautiful. All of it. I've never seen two people more fitting for each other. They're reception? What did I learn about the reception.
You know I've seen Martino with a sword. He's improved over the years. Yes scholar, I see your look. He really has. That's him with IMPROVEMENT! Well tonight, I saw him with an ax. AN AX! He threw it at a target. That he didn't really hit. And let me tell you how it went. He almost hit people. Yep. You heard that right. People had to duck. One fell on his foot. And I'm sure he's dying. Or he thinks he is. He will soak this up, I know it. I suppose I'm just glad he didn't lose a toe. The rest of the reception went without a hitch. It was great. No one was hurt.
I just want to say that I'm happy for my aunt. She's found her happy. Her happy place. Yes this marriage created a strong union between our House and Riven. It was an excellent match. But I like knowing that she'll be taken care of too. She won't be unhappy. And I rather enjoy the Riven family. It's a new family as far as I'm concerned. Will I miss Eirene and the twins around the manor? Probably. Not enough to where I can't visit. I'll just send Finn over, or random special packages.
