I attended the Saikland's Costa Lavica Whiskey Release party this evening. Or was it last evening. I lost the time. It was a good time, a nice break from the looming possibility of another battle before us. Tomorrow will begin going over more work. Making sure the defenses are set. That all is prepared. For just in case. Because you can never be too prepared.

I've made a lot of friends since being in the city, but I've had the distinct pleasure of having 2 of my best friends return to the city. Rarely do you find a friendship to span so many years. We change. People change. And in doing such, we seem to outgrow these friendships. Even rarer yet, you are friends with the sibling of the other. Twins no less. Happy birthday Neilda and Medeia. I literally don't think I'd be alive without the 2 of you. For some many reasons. Or be as adventurous. Maybe the 2nd part is a lie. But I do appreciate you both in more ways than one.

Got out of the city for a bit. Away from the snow. With my closest friends. Came home with an octopus. Yes. I caught that. I dove for that.

The Golden Buckle tournament turned out far better than I or Medeia would have planned. And I had so much fun. I did. I learned I'm not great on a saddle and definitely need some lessons. Not like that scholar, don't look at me like that! Have a bull plushie....

I'm so glad Medeia chose me as her patron. Honest. She's taken all my ideas and have run with the. Making them ten times larger than what -I- would have imagined. And I have a pretty large imagination. We have been a pretty awesome team, despite the differences we share. I think those differences are what binds it.

My spirit is getting restless. I want to go out and do---something. I don't know what it is just yet, I just know there is something. It seems while my life is moving forward, I also seem to be at a standstill. Perhaps I'm just used to being constantly on the move, always on the go and when there is a lull, I have no idea what to do with myself. Give me a week, we'll see if the answer changes...

A new year is upon us. There are so many changes that have taken place. Within myself, the city. I've grown. It's an amazing feeling when you can realize you've done such. I'm excited to see what this new year brings. To see what it is in store for me, my family, the city. You know, this is my shot at optimism. It's working right?
Also, winter? I keep telling myself winter isn't awful. But damnit! It's cold! And wet. But I'm reminded of fires, furs, and hot drinks. I'll just go on a visit to Southport. Much needed visited home.

The filly I purchased I from the Halfshav horse auction. Her name you ask? Soxette. You see, Soxette has appears to be wearing socks on three of her legs. Only 3. Now 4. How is that possible you ask? Because Lady Neilda made her an aeterna sock for her other leg. A horse leg warmer? Regardless--She has socks on 4 legs legs now. Soxette will be the fastest and most well---me horse ever by the time she grown. As far as horses go...

Today I took on Lady Medeia Saik as my protege. This will lead to many--amazing collaborations to come. She is a force to be reckoned with once she gets going. I'm more than certain I'll learn just as much from her as I hope she'll learn from me.
