The Aspirations of Alcohol event went without a hitch, and per usual Acacia impressed me with her laudable hosting skills. The menu was nothing short of impressive and there was a notable increase in recipe creativity. I -might- have to look into making this an annual thing. Or perhaps bi-annual.
The Grotto is even more impressive than I initially imagined and I might have to look into visiting again sometime in the near future. Master Saedrus has done fine work.
The prizes Mistress Joscelin and Mistress Aurora crafted were -exceptional- in quality and I kind of wanted to keep them for myself...
All in all, a great time, and I think I can be happy for a bit.

The Iron Guard's recruitment drive was far more successful than I planned for, especially given the circumstances surrounding the Boroughs as of late.
Now to hire, train, equip them to the end of the siege at least, which could go a very long way to balancing out the numbers that the Bringers of Silence are bringing to bear against the city... if I can find the people, money, and equipment for it.

I missed the sudden royal wedding because I was busy building furniture for the groom as a wedding gift, but it seems he has given me the leftovers of the feast. It appears the Mercier family will be dining on scrumptious wedding cake tonight! I gave Dash the roast fowl as a reward for all his hard work as of late.

Well I lost in the first round during the joust; not my best performance, but truth be told I do not ride horses very often. Poor Damascus may need more exercise, but the Valardin stables I got him from have raised him well.
I lost in the Melee, too, but not without a good fight with Lord Killian and Master Sparte on my side. I am proud of my men - there isn't a more resilient lot out there. The Compact is in good hands, whether it cares to acknowledge it or not. We will defend the city to our last breath.
