Cotton and Tea

The Golden Hart's main room have been overtaken by basket after basket of strips of cotton. In anticipation of their needs and the desire by some to aid in the efforts of the impending war but lack the more martial skills, the Princess-Consort Alarissa Thrax and the Countess Reigna Keaton have arranging a cotton social. Come join both in the main room of the Golden Hart, enjoy a drink, tea and socializing while you roll bandages and help to prepare the compact and do your part to help with the inevitable wounded.

4 House Deepwood Guards arrives, following Samantha.

The Golden Hart has been invaded and taken over. In baskets laid out in stations around the room are strip after strip of plain cotton piled high in baskets. Women - and men - from around the city have descended upon the Hart's main room to partake in socializing, drinking some of Thrax Fealty's finest offerings in wine - also known as Victus' liquor cabinet - and to do a small part of what is inevitably a larger part, to helping out the soldiers, sailors and every day person who will be going forth to fight war on land or high seas.

Over the last hour, servants of Thrax have been moving in and out, taking up baskets with rolled bandages ready to be brought to the mercies and other stations where supplies are being gathered. Servers within the Hart itself move around to dispense wine, some hard liquors, hot teas of every kind and a table to the side is groaning with small finger foods that can be stabbed with little sticks and eaten so as to keep hands clean.

It is the first of what is likely to be very many gatherings for those with less marital or even medical knowledge, to do their part.

Alarissa has joined the table by the fire.

Gawain has boundless enthusiasm, even for such a mundane task as rolling bandages, and so it is that the young knight bounds his way into the Hart, a bright, excited smile on his face.

Orathy heard ... probably something about booze rather than not, which might explain his appearance at the Hart. Victus' liquor? The Culler cannot help but imemediately strike for THAT and start rifling through the bottles to find the strongest available. The Kiss of Python Snake Wine is what the man ends up grabbing. Not just the glass, but the bottle. It seems about right that he finds a table after snitching the bottle, rather, taking the politely donated wine.

Orathy picks up Kiss of the Python Snake Wine.

Orathy has joined the Lucky 7 table.

The trio of Alarissa, Reigna and Kael are stationed more or less in the center, prepared to greet, direct and offer demonstrations of the evening's activity. Reigna has a spool of cotton in front of her and she's showing a group how to properly roll the banadages in such a way that they can be more effectively applied to wounds in the field. She's probably being a bit overdescriptive of certain kinds of wounds, but hey, she sure is enthusiastic!

When Dianna arrived, it was wrapped in her velvets and furs, muttering rather decidedly unpleasant phrases under her breath. Fortunately, between the low volume and her extraordinarily thick Ostrian accent, she might be difficult to overhear -- or to fully understand, for those who catch snippets. Either way, one thing is made very obvious between it and the way that she's blowing on her fingers. Dianna decidedly does *not* like the prospect of Arx in winter.

Kael has joined the table by the fire.

Reigna has joined the table by the fire.

Catalana has joined the table by the fire.

Alarissa is by the fire at that table with the bandages piled high and working at rolling with the rest of the people present. A bright smile on her face no cornet of Thrax on her head and in a comfortable - and familiar classic for those who know her - silk dress, the basket by the table is slowly being filled. Alarissa glances around the room with a smile and beckons in the newcomers. "Join us! A drink, grab some linen and roll!"

Lethe arrives to the event wearing blue. She looks around with an eager smile.

Samantha has joined the table by the fire.

Orathy has left the Lucky 7 table.

Orathy has joined the shadowy alcove.

Lethe has joined the table by the fire.

Catalana had made her way to the Hart to do what she can to help. Not that she is some medic or anything of the sort but she has basic knowledge from shenanigans. Taking off that cloak she would make her way to the table that hosts Alarissa. "Oooh! I guess I missed the information about drinking as well. I just saw help with bandages." Chuckling she would bow her head as she took a seat, folding her cloak over her chair and grabbing some linen.

Samantha makes her way to the primary table, checking to make sure there's enough room to seat herself. Upon doing so, she offers polite smiles to those around her, and plucks up some cotton, somewhat miming along with the demonstration as if she learns best by doing.

Titania comes walking into the Hart looking around she is wraped in a cloak for the moment, a soft look about her even though she is dressed in her leathers something she seems she is not totaly ready to give up on wearing just yet.

Waldemai looks a bit overwhelmed by the large piles of cotton cloth, but his calloused fingers turn out to be reasonably nimble. Well, nimble by the standards of blacksmiths, at least. He catches the eye of one of the staff, points at his teacup, whispers, and is soon introduced to the wonder that is Vodka. "Woof," he says, and then, "Pardon me, your highness."

Sparte has opted to make an appearance with his own supply of cloth. Apparently he has been practicing a bit at making bandages. Possibly for personal use. He finds a good spot to sit down and get situated, looking through the nearest basket and quickly realizing what he brought is of inferior quality. He tucks it into a pouch, trying to act like he came empty handed instead. That would have been better.

Dianna did eventually remove her gloves, as well as her cloak, making a slow survey of the room -- of those present, as well as of the piles and piles and piles of fabric, which brought a faint smile to her face. "Lady Ke--," she began, by way of greeting to the woman who entered shortly behind her. "Excuse me. Countess Fireviper now, isn't it?," she said to Titania. "Congratulations."

Kael Keaton knows not one single thing about the rolling of bandages. Or if he does happen to know, he likely is absolutely terrible at it. It is therefore the case that he has been tasked to the tearing of fabric into strips, and this is one task that he happens to be well versed at -- Reigns makes sure of it. From the look of things, the large pile set in a basket before him, he's been at this for a while. He's already managed to acquire some amber liquid in a tumbler, so when he takes a pause there's a small sip to go along with it. When Dianna speaks, even if not understandable, he glances her way curiously but Catalana and Samantha's arrival draw his attention. "Good evening," he offers to the pair of them.

Orathy watches from the shadowy alcove tucked away under the stairs. He's taken up residence in the booth like seating, throwing his arm back and sprawling out his legs ahead of him, his eyes tracking those who walk in with vague interest, though his eyes follow Titania for a time while he rips out the cork on the snake wine. A snort rises from him at the 'Fireviper' part, gaze switching to Dianna for a time as he takes a swig of this so-called poisonous wine.

The sound from Waldemai has Alarissa smiling. "Osayan, Kennex, Mango. The stories that Lord Ian Kennex tells with that one. It is very nice in the peach and ginger tea." Alarissa offers up to Waldemai as she finishes what she's been rolling and tucks the end in so it can be placed into the basket. "Pick a table, settle in. Have a drink." Alarissa offers up, standings up at the sight of one face she hasn't seen in some time and excusing herself from the table.

Sparte has joined the table by the fire.

Alarissa has left the table by the fire.

Waldemai has joined the table by the fire.

The blue eye blond would smile warmly at those around as she started to roll up some bandages. Looking to Titania she would wave her over with a smile. "Hello you!" Turning her head she would then hear that voice and looked to Kael. Giving him a smile she would nod then. "Evening to you as well, sir!" Cutting her eyes over to Alarissa she would smile. "Thank you for organizing this, your highness. At least I can feel as if I am not just sitting around. I hate feeling idle in such a time...."

"Thank you," Samantha says with a smile for Alarissa. "I helped boil cotton strips for bandages during the Siege. This is considerably more pleasant."

Titania smiles looking to Dianna, "Yes Countess Fireviper now and thank you." she looks over spotting Catalana and gives her cousin a finger waves, "Lady Catalana it is good to see you as always." she grins and looks to Dianna, "Would you like to join me while I help roll the bandages, I can show you how if you like."

Kael tips his head to Catalana, and supplies by way of introduction in an easy manner, "Count Kael Keaton." A nod, toward Reigna, as he adds, "My wife, Countess Reigna Keaton." He's turning back toward one of his tablemates with that, chuckling rather ruefully before offering a few quiet words.

"Forgive me, my lord," Dianna said to Kael, when she realized he was staring at her. "It is *very* cold here in December compared to Ostria. I'm beginning to suspect it's some form of very slow torture, inflicted en masse." The jest -- which was also a very sincere complaint -- was accompanied by a warm and sudden smile, before she nodded to Titania. "That would be lovely, my lady. Thank you. Most of my experience with applying bandages was hasty, messy, unpleasant, and an experience I'd not care to repeat. More experienced hands would be very welcome."

Alarissa has joined the Lucky 7 table.

Catalana would look to Kael and smiled as she nodded. "A pleasure to meet you and your beautiful wife...." Nodding she would glance to her roll she was working on then back to them. "Lady Catalana Kennex....and my dear husband the Lord Admiral Washburn Kennex would be here but he had other meetings I do believe..."

"Oh, it's not just me. The Countess as well. I am but merely a student to her skills in the fine art of healing." Alarissa declares as she weaves her way through the crowd and gestures for Gawain to join her and Dianna as well, those still milling about and not taking those seats by the fire. "Lord Blanchard. I really should speak to you about a horse."

Orathy has left the shadowy alcove.

Reigna looks up at Catalana, "Oh, hello! It is very nice to meet you, Lady Catalana. I believe your husband sent us a letter recently to say hello. How wonderful of you to come." Reigna turns to offer a wide smile to the Kennex Lady, friendly as can be.

Kael lifts up a free hand toward Dianna, an easy enough motion before smiling easily toward her. "No, no. Nothing to forgive, it *is* terribly cold. It was your accent actually, I -- ah! Ostria. That would explain it." He nods sharply to such a point before adding on the heels of Reigna's words. "A pleasure to meet you, Lady Kennex. I believe that you and your husband, as well as my wife and I, should share a dinner sometime soon."

Orathy stands up with the bottle of wine he took, the strength of it from whatever was put into the bottle does make him hiss everytime that he takes a swig. It's like the label. So he purposefully goes over toward where Titania was sitting and places it down in front of her with a facetious polite tone, "Reckon this be for you Count/esssss/ Fireviper ..." Something about that name tickles the Culler, because he's suddenly just sniggering as he decides to head on out after taking a look around, muttering to himself. Crazy Cullers, really.

Sparte pulls out a quill and an inkwell. He gets the bandages ready to be rolled and starts... Making faint little drawings on the outside of the bandages as he goes. Looks like he is decorating his roll of bandages with birds.

Dianna's brows shot up. "Have you been to the Walled City, my lord? I'd be quite surprised to hear you say yes. The Mazetti don't often receive guests," she answered, as she moved towards Alarissa's table. She offered the woman a somewhat distracted smile -- the result of trying to converse with Kael, no doubt -- a swift but graceful curtsy. "A kind invitation, my lady, thank you. Lady Dianna Mazetti, of Ostria. And really, some other dreadful titles my cousin has pinned on me that I'm not *entirely* convinced she didn't just make up as an excuse to foist some of her reports off on me."

Titania has joined the dance floor.

Titania has left the dance floor.

Dianna has joined the Lucky 7 table.

Titania has joined the table by the fire.

Titania had moves over to sit near her cousin to speak with her, but when Orathy comes over and places the bottle down in front of her she breaths deeply looking up as he walks out and she shakes her head.

Dianna checked composure + etiquette at difficulty 15, rolling 11 higher.

Whatever Alarissa says to Dianna, there's a wink and she's standing up at her table. "Welcome, the latest visitors. Take a drink and warm your fingers up. It would dreadfully dull if we were to just sit and roll, and roll...' Alarissa looks at that fireside table. "And roll" hands clap together in front of her and then gestures to the piles of cotton. "What is a night of drinking and cotton rolling without a little.. competition."

For one brief moment, there was a flash of something akin to mortification on Dianna's face. It was almost as though the wheels in her head had been turning like the cogs of the great clock and, when it struck the right hour, that look was what it chimed. And then it passed, and then she started to laugh -- at herself. "My apologies, Your Highness. I hadn't realized." Her head shook. "Breakfast with the Archduchess. Tea with the Princess-Consort. I'm quite the inadvertent little social climber, aren't I?"

Catalana would look to Titania with smile as she gave her a wink before looking up to Clarissa. That brow would raise as she giggled a bit. "Ooh. Competition....?" There was a smile as she looked around for a moment.

"No, I have not visited, my lady. I --" Ah, but introductions come, even if it was to another. Kael chuckles softly and remarks, "Count Kael Keaton, we did some business via missive. Or at least we would have, but my wife had beat me to it. It is nice to put a face with a name, nonetheless." He nods once as she seats elsewhere, then turns back to his table. He peers a bit toward the artwork from Sparte, watching his work on the bandage before remarking something quietly at his table.

Waldemai takes a nice, happy sip from his "tea" cup, and waits to hear about this 'competition' thing.

Champion, a large white warhorse have been dismissed.

Sparte continues to leave faint doodles of birds as he rolls his bandages. He isn't going quick as everyone else but some unlucky soldier will have a conversation piece.

Titania pushes the bottle away from her and looks to Catalana leaning in to wisper something to her cousin.

"Who, can be the fastest rollerr in the room. While the goal this day is to get all the cotton rolled, it might take the rest of the evening to truly do such. But I dont intend to while away the evening wearing my fingertips out and so, a contest, a competition to see who will be the fastest roller. He or she, who can roll the most bandages in hree minutes, gets to go home with a rare bottle of Grimhall mead. Very few of them made." Alarissa's smiling wide. "If you wish to partake, make your way to the open floor where things have been set up and we shall see -just- how nimble, some of the city's finest bandae rollers can be! There's a gesture to where a table has been set on the dance floor and is being laid out with stacks of fresh linen ready to be snatched up.

Waldemai gets up and ambles over to the dance floor. "Sure, I'll play, your highness. Someone has to be last, just as someone has to be first."

Waldemai has left the table by the fire.

Alarissa has left the Lucky 7 table.

Alarissa has joined the a handsome wooden bar with steel footrest and swivel barstools.

"Your Highness." Gawain gives Alarissa a dip of his head- but any comments about horses go unanswered as she announces a competition. "Oh! Yeah. I'm gonna win this." Nevermind the young knight has zero experience rolling bandages.

Alarissa has left the a handsome wooden bar with steel footrest and swivel barstools.

Alarissa has joined the dance floor.

Waldemai has joined the dance floor.

Gawain has joined the dance floor.

Catalana has left the table by the fire.

"Ahhhh, so you're the Keatons!," Dianna said to Kael and Reigna. And, just once, her hands clapped together before she brought them down to one of the baskets, to reach for the fabric. "Thank you, sincerely, for what you did for Ostria. The walls have all been completed, with some of your lumber and some of Telmar's stone, and permits granted to me by the Crown. I cannot say that they will be enough to keep an enemy so great out entirely, but should this army reach so far as us, I'm sure many lives will be saved. She looked up to Alarissa, then, at something the Princess had said to her, and carried her strip of cotton out to the dance floor with her.

Dianna has left the Lucky 7 table.

Dianna has joined the dance floor.

Duarte has joined the a handsome wooden bar with steel footrest and swivel barstools.

Samantha grins ruefully at her error, and then rises. "I'm going to give it a go." she declares, and heads for the dance floor.

Samantha has left the table by the fire.

Lethe stands. "I'm not known for my speed, but I will play anyway."

Lethe has left the table by the fire.

Samantha has joined the dance floor.

Lethe has joined the dance floor.

Titania watches as people gather onto the dance floor watching from where she sits.

Catalana would look to Titania with a smile as she then leaned in to return the whisper. Giving her a soft kiss on the check and winked. Motioning for her to come on she'd giggle. "LEt's do this cousin!" Looking to the Keatons and Samantha she would nod. "Then I shall plan accordingly! We can do something fun with them then...."

"They are the Keatons, divine and lovely." Alarissa agree's with Dianna as she's making her way toward the dance floor and those table to get ready to watch, observe and declare a winner when the time comes.

Kael snorts slightly with the competition, though it is in good nature, and he goes back to just tearing strips of bandages from the cloth from where he sits. He's turning back to Dianna easily enough, inclining his head in a humble manner as his expression grows more serious. "Of course, my lady. Simply write to us or visit us when Ostria is in need, and we will arrange fair terms." The Count settles back in his chair somewhat at that, eyeing the contest with interest though he does not actually participate himself.

Reigna seems to be refraining from the competition, but she is grinning as she watches the others. At Dianna's words, she offers a bright smile, "The Keatons are allies of the Mazetti and we are thrilled to be able to assist with your city's defenses." She lifts a glass of fruit soaked in wine and says, "To many more years of alliegence between our houses."

Titania gets dragged onto the dance floor with Catalana looking around. "Alright."

Titania has left the table by the fire.

Titania has joined the dance floor.

Lizette, a pretty buxom barmaid arrives, following Valencia.

Lizette, a pretty buxom barmaid leaves, following Valencia.

Duarte slinks into the establishment with hands clasped in front of him. He does a slow survey of the room taking in the details of those in attendance, and how they are grouped. It's a short stroll to the bar and an easy hop onto a stool, but still facing the direction of the crowd and maintaining nothing less than an insouciant countenance.

Waldemai calls, "Hey, Lizette! Ale!"

Sparte finishes his first roll of doodled bandages, looking as people gather on the floor to compete. "Eh, why not." Setting that roll of bandages down alongside his quill, Sparte moves to join the others for the competitive speed rolling.

"Had half the bottle of mango already my lord?" Alarissa teasses Waldemai with the beatfic smile on her face and a server comes forward with a small hourglass timer. "When it's turned over. You may start. Each of you has your own pile." Each pile looks to have roughly 80 banddages if one had to guess. "The first person to finish their pile, throw their rolls into the basket, clearly wins. If none finish their pile by the time that the timer ends, then we go to whomever has the most rolled. Are we ready?"

"Ready!" pipes Samantha, looking eager.

Gawain stands near a pile of bandages, listening intently to the rules before he cracks his knuckles and nods his readiness.

Reigna cups her hand around her mouth and lets out a jovial 'woooo' to cheer on the start of the competition. "Flex those fingers, roll those bandages!" She laughs and bumps her shoulder against Kael, looking over to his stack of cloth and stealing some so that she can roll her own as she watches the competition begin.

Catalana was ready, wiggling her fingers in anticipation.

Waldemai is embarrassed to be called a lord. He pushes the tea cup away.

Gawain checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 0 higher.

Waldemai checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 2 higher.

Catalana checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 2 higher.

Lethe checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 1 higher.

Sparte checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 15 higher.

Titania checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 0 higher.

Dianna checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 3 lower.

Gawain checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 3 higher.

Gawain checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 9 higher.

Samantha checked luck at difficulty 15, rolling 5 lower.

After receiving a drink of sorts at the bar, Duarte hides a smile of amusement behind a healthy sip of liquid. If only he'd had known high society meant rolling cotton for fun.

When all participants are ready, a small crowd putting their rolling down so that they came watch and cheer on the competitors, Alarissa takes that hourglass timer and on the count of three, turns it over on the table and just like that, it's off to the bandage races.

Alarissa looks toward the bar and the non-participant with a raised brow and a dip of her head to the man but then back to the table on the dance floor and the racers.

Waldemai's vodka tea influenced fingers are somewhat less nimble than usual, but chain mail is surprisingly delicate to make and requires a deft touch. He thinks he's rolling well until he spots the pile mounting up in front of Sparte. "Whoa," he says.

Titania gets distracted with her rolling watching Sparte and gives him support, "Go Sparte." she smiles to her friend.

Catalana would giggle a bit as she started to roll her bandages but then she would glance to Sparte. "....oh my...." Those blue eyes would blink as she steadily kept going. It was all in good fun after all!

Samantha apparently forgets how to use her fingers. One of her wads of cotton gets tangled up in another and she blows a huff of air up toward her hairline before chuckling.

Lethe tries her hardest to quickly make the bandages. Her fingers just aren't fast enough to put her in the lead. She looks impressed as she looks at some of the other piles especially Sparte's.

Kael applauds toward all the participants, though Sparte's performance certainly gets a nod of appreciation to go along with it. "That," he points out to his wife before taking another sip from his glass of liquor, "is skill."

It was the speed that was doing it. At the rate they were all going, Dianna was more than a little tempted to swiftly wind the bandages around two of her fingers to keep them steady and easy to shape; the problem with her little trick was getting them back out without unraveling the whole thing. This plan was not a good one!

Reigna looks to Sparte as he's pointed out and nods to Kael, "I shall have to see if he's interested in learning some medical tricks. He's certainly got nimble fingers!"

Gawain's lack of experience shows- fingers more used to holding the reins of a horse or the hilt of a sword do not make for speedy bandages. Still, he doens't embarrasse himself.

Without the distraction of doodling on the bandages, rolling them goes quickly for Sparte. The bandages just seem to want to fall into place for him as he tucks them into rolls and pins the rolls in place. One after another. He stacks them up into a nice little tower too, just for the fun of it. Because he is nothing if not a ham. He glances around as he realizes the time is about up, realing how far he has pulled ahead of the others, and gives a goofy grin at Reigna. "Rolled plenty of bandages I ended up wearing. Just lucky to have practiced it I suppose. Or unlucky, depending on perspective."

"Master Fatchforth!" Alarissa calls out with laughter. "It would seem you're skills at tending to yourself are paying off. Let us make sure to put you upon the front lines of the mercies!" The THrax Princess-Consort calls out as the people ringing the floor start to encourage and urge on the participants. One minute passes swiftly enough and a few nameless nobles who aimed to partake, are faring well but not near as well as some of the others at the table. "Lady Mazetti! Swiftly now! Lady Lethe! Onward you go!"

Reigna grins back to Sparte, delighted with his efforts. She cheers for the others as well, eyes gleaming, even as she continues to work, more slowly and somewhat methodically. Her motions have the rhythm that only comes with years and years of practice, she doesn't have to look, she relies on muscle memory alone.

"I think I'm going to have to reroll half of these," Dianna murmured, largely to herself, as she began to laugh at the mess she was making in her attempts to catch up.

Catalana was trying to keep up as she let out a squeal then. "Oh come on!" Laughing she would just shake he head. "I guess I should stick to talk and negotiating than rolling bandages.

Titania smiles, "Its okay cousin, I can help you I have picked up some training since I came to Arx."

Samantha has left the dance floor.

4 House Deepwood Guards leaves, following Samantha.

Waldemai rolls and tosses, rolls and tosses. The longer he lays of the Very Special Tea, the better he gets at it. Or maybe it's just practice.

On and on they roll, the participants rippign through bandages as fast as furious fingers and spin it. But eventually all those grains of sand are done and when the last one falls, Alarissa calls out "Stop! hands up!" and it's time to count. By and large, obviously, Sparte coming out the clear winner. But second place seems to be tied between Waldemai and Catalana. Lethe sliding in just one behind.

Still rolling she would look to Titania with a smile then. "That I would appreciate. We can catch up once more as well, hm?" A wink then as she looked back to her linen rolls. Catalana would then raise her hands as soon as time was called, laughing softly.

Lethe continues to roll as more bandages with the encouragement. She grins and appears to be enjoying herself. She lifts her hands and looks to see how everyone else has done.

Waldemai stops and puts his hands up. "That'll tire out the old fingers in a hurry, won't it?"

Duarte raises his glass with a politely submissive nod of his head to Alarissa, in acknowledgement of her gesture. He calls out through the noise with friendly amusement in his voice, "It's a fine spectacle, Princess."

Catalana puts Palm-sized Blue and White Crystal Star in a sea-swirling dainty backpack.

Sparte rises up, going to retake his seat once the bit of competition is over. Back out comes his quill to start doodling on the next slow-paced roll of bandages. This time someone is getting tiny boats. Not very good boats, but tiny boats.

Titania looks over as she gets a message and reads it, she breaths deeply tucking it away. She leans into Catalana kissing her cheek, "I have to go, I will see you soon." she looks to Alarissa, "Princess, thank you." she gives her a small curtsey and turns to leave.

"be well Countess Fireviper!" Alarissa calls out, a glance to Duarte and canted incline of her head in return. "You should roll some bandages my lord!" Winners declared, she's swinging by that table with sparte if only to murmur the man with an inquiry as the crowds start to disperse and go back to their tables and their bandages.

"I do hope everything is alright, Countess," Dianna called to Titania as she headed towards the door. Her words were accompanied by a gentle wave -- provided she could extract her fingers from the bandage roll in time.

Titania has left the dance floor.

Reigna waves to Titania as she prepares to go, "Thank you for coming, Countess Fireviper!" Reigna calls over from her place, rolling those bandages.

Duarte pushes his glass toward the servant behind the bar with a finger and slips off his stool. He coolly strolls toward the cotton table, "I would be foolish to decline the invitation."

Duarte has left the a handsome wooden bar with steel footrest and swivel barstools.

Duarte has joined the table by the fire.

Waldemai tells the others, "Thank you very much for having me. I'll have work waiting back at the forge, though."

Waldemai has left the dance floor.

Catalana would smile as she leaned into that kiss. "Good night, Countess...." Chuckling a bit she would then stand as well, dusting herself off. Exhaling a bit she would move back to her seat at the table by the fire before slipping it back on. "I too should go. I want to get home to tuck my little one in for the night...." Turning to Alarissa she would curtsey then as she smiled. "Thank you again, your highness. This was a lot of fun...."

Sparte gives Alarissa a brief reply and a friendly smile before returning to his lightly inked bandage wrapping.

Kael looks up when Duarte is moving toward the table. There are plenty of strips of fabric left in need of being rolled, though a good amount of progress has already been made. Not that he's actually aiding in the whole rolling of bandages, and indeed, even the tearing of cloth has ceased in favor of sipping at his liquor. "My lord," he greets the other man, nodding to him.

Duarte easing himself into an open seat, "Might one give me an example of how to effectuate the regal art of bandage rolling?"

Lethe looks toward Alarissa. "Thank you for helping to host the event and the contest. I enjoyed it, and I am glad I could help."

Reigna looks up to Duarte as well, offering the Count a fair smile, "Good evening my lord. Thank you for coming to our event. Are you enjoying your drink?"

Catalana has left the dance floor.

Kael gestures vaguely with his drink, pointing out Sparte as well as Reigna. "These two would be the one to ask regarding bandage rolling," he says with ease. "I have no skill in the department. Hopefully I will not need to use too many of them out in the field." With this declaration he polishes the last of his drink off.

"I am glad that you could come Lethe." Alarissa offers to the Tyde noble. "I need to go oversee some of the baskets going out the door! I will return very soon, try not to drink all the tea without me!" TO the room, is declared, before off Alarissa goes.

"I did. And I had enjoyed the goings on quite bit more," speaks Duarte, addressing Reigna. "Is this the typical fashion nobility? Cotton rolling?" he asks with a teasing charm. "It reminds me quite of my humble childhood. If I'd only known how similar was the life!"

2 Novice Keaton Huntsmen, Norwood II arrive, following Margerie.

Sparte glances between Kael and Reigna, looking up from finishing his roll of bandages with little shields doodled on the back. He blinks a few times as though just now realizing they might've been talking to him. "Oh, uh..."

Lethe has left the dance floor.

There is a look from Duarte to Kael and back, "No, this is an effort to prepare for the coming troubles. I wouldn't say it is typical, but one must prepare when the storm is on the horizon. A noble's place is to prepare to protect their people, is it not?" She looks over to Sparte and waves to him, "Congratulations, Master Fatchforth! Well rolled. You are doing well?"

"I was just saying to this man," Kael explains to Sparte when he looks up, nodding to Duarte, "that you might be the one to ask how to properly roll bandages. What with your performance over there." Given that his glass is empty, there is a gesture for one of the staff of the Hart, and he orders another.
