Wills. it seems like the thing to do, and so I will record my own. Thankfully, I don't have very much.

My shop, the Tanned Hide, shall go to Joscelin. She's always wanted a bakery, so I hope she'll use the space for that. My only requirement is that she names the place something hilariously crafty.

My silver should be split equally between the Coldrain family and the Crafters Guild. Any materials I have can go to the Crafters Guild, to be shared for free amongst the members.

To my unborn child, I leave my wedding ring and daggers. I hope they will remember me by them.

To Joscelin, I leave the rest, to do with as she wishes. I ask that on my death, Joscelin be the only one allowed to read my Blacks, and that they not be released to the public.

Relationship Note on Morrighan

You'll be too much in awe of me to have time to tar and feather me! Just try not to drool too much.

There is nothing fussy about my pants! They are very well made!

Now excuse me while I go back to belly proofing the house.

Please don't set yourself on fire. Or anything else, for that matter.

Relationship Note on Duarte

Count Duarte commissioned me for some large sculptures honouring Gild and Vellichor, to be placed in the Crossroads Casino. Sculpting is far more of a hobby of mine than a serious profession - it's just a different way of expression altogether - but I really enjoy the opportunities I get to push away the silks and leathers and work with wood and stone instead.

The sculptures were far larger than anything I've built in the past, but the Count provided more than enough inspiration with the themes he desired. I'm proud of the work I did, and I look forward to seeing my art in the Crossroads Casino when I go and visit.

Relationship Note on Gerard

I woke up the other morning and almost fell over the new addition in our bedroom. To say I wasn't expecting what was gifted to us is very much an understatement. But the bassinet looks good in the room (especially now that I've moved it further from my side of the bed). It's almost as if it has always belonged there.

So thanks to you, Sir Gerard, for making mine and Joscelin's little dream more of a little reality. Ida did a good thing, choosing you.

All I ever did was love you!

Does something get triggered in your brain or something when you're expecting a baby, and suddenly you see everything in your house as an instrument of certain death? Joscelin says I'm fussing, but she could've fallen off that footstool, Scholar, it was a FOUR FOOT drop! I've taken everything down off the high shelves for her - there's definitely a benefit of being the tall one in a short house - but that's not stopping her from trying to send me to an early grave. You know, just the other day, I go downstairs to her tearing up her shop looking for her damned hammer that was ALREADY IN HER HANDS! She's got so many sharp things down there, she could've cut herself, or slipped and fallen and landed on her stomach on the workbench and..

... Shut up. I'm not fussing. I just care, dammit!

Relationship Note on Joscelin

It's funny how a single announcement can turn one worry into several thousand, yet bring with it so much joy and happiness, too. We've been waiting so long for this, you and I, but it looks like we've turned wishes into reality. And while nine months seems like a very short amount of time to wait, it honestly feels as though it will take forever ... but only because I'm just so damned anxious to meet the little one that we've created.

I love you, Joscelin Arterius. You made me whole when you came into my life. And now, somehow, you've made my life all the richer, and completed me all over again.

Today I am the happiest man in all of Arvum! And I think I may be that way for a long time to come.

Relationship Note on Joscelin

I don't know about this Saedrus fellow, but you've got the prettiest glow about you that I've ever seen. Especially when you're mad and you get all red and splotchy in places? That's my second favorite glow of yours.

Relationship Note on Joscelin

I'm not about to go through your drawers to find your creams and your lotions, but I want you to know that I like your face best when you first wake up in the morning and you're all freckles and dark eyes and crazy curls.

And scowls.

But I like the scowls.

I am beyond proud of the work we did in Darkwater. It was hard work, costly work, but there's a certain feeling that comes with seeing so many different people coming together for a single purpose, and seeing that purpose ultimately achieved.

But I'm also proud because a lot of that work was made possible by Sameera, and in her memory. When the bank teller told me how many writs the Coldrains had collected, I nearly fell over, but there was never any doubt in my mind what to do with them. I can only hope that this contribution helps the memory of her live on in the buildings that were created, the roads that were rebuilt, and the people it helped serve.

Relationship Note on Ida

I won't claim to have started a trend, but I'm beyond happy for my friend. Gerard seems like a decent man with a good heart, and one only need to look at the smile on Ida's face to know that this is very important to her, and that she is very happy. And that is really all that matters.

I took Mongoose on a walk today around the city. I made two dozen or so small blankets that I thought would be good to donate to the orphanage, so the dog joined me on a trip to the Lowers. We stayed for a bit after, there were a few children playing outside that wanted to pet Mongoose, and it's impossible to say no to several pair of large eyes blinking up at you at once. Mongoose was a good girl for the kids and they seemed to appreciate my training her to fart on command. The two of us had them laughing for a good long while. It made it hard to go.

I think Mongoose and I'll make it a habit of going down there more often.

Relationship Note on Joscelin

Joscelin has been ill, so in between fussing at her to get back into bed and putting out several buckets through the house and her shop because I know she can't stay /in/ bed, I've been stepping in to assist with some Guild matters as well (mostly to keep her in bed, but really, she's very stubborn). I've often watched Josie work Guild matters from the sidelines, so it was interesting to walk a mile in her shoes, so to speak. There's been contracts written, loans given, merchant issues handled, and honestly?

Honestly, I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I am with my wife and her abilities to juggle all of this on the regular.

The Guild really couldn't ask for a better Guildmistress. And I couldn't ask for a better wife.

Even though she really, really, REALLY needs to GET BACK TO BED!

Relationship Note on Joscelin

She doesn't give herself enough credit. Full of constant compliments and praise for others; I know that's what makes her the best Guildmaster that the Crafters could ask for, I just think she deserves some of that herself. After all, I wouldn't work my fingers to the bones for just anybody - she's my muse, and I'm not saying that JUST because she's my wife.

But this fashion show .. it's going to be epic. Because she inspires as much as she creates. And I know when it's all said and done, and the show's a giant success, she's gonna thank everybody under the sun except herself. I just hope she takes a second to thank herself, and marvel in her abilities to bring all these people together and create beautiful art.

And if she doesn't thank herself? Well. I'll be singing her praises, and I'm sure a lot of other people will, too.

By the by, it's a fantasy to have EIGHT children at once. Not six. Six isn't nearly enough!

I have a lot of people to thank for helping to make mine and Joscelin's special day even more special. I wasn't surprised to see how the Guild came together (Joscelin's made a family moreso than a Guild), but I want you all to know that what you did for the both of us will never be forgotten. But special thanks goes out to the following, in no specific order, of course:

Jacali - the Guild's Harbringer of Hooch, the Miracle Moonshine Maker, the Curator of the Most Curious Cocktails! If you're ever in the market for a special brew, go see Jacali. I asked her to make a drink that would represent Joscelin and me, and she didn't disappoint. The bottles made for a great gift to those who attended the reception.

Snow - Joscelin's protege, who created a sweet and significant scent that seemed to encapture Josie's very essence. I think she's tired of me trying to smell her, she keeps swatting at me.

Lottie - A genius in the kitchen, the cake she made for us was almost too good looking to eat. But of course it had to be eaten, because it was delicious! And the little sugar statues which topped the cake were a tremendous work of art.

To Ida and Morrighan - I don't think I would've gotten this far, if it weren't for the two of you. Thank you both, from the bottom of my heart.

And finally, to all the people that came to help us celebrate - our day wouldn't have been complete without all of you.

Thank you all.

Do you know what great asses need? A great pair of pants. Come to the Tanned Hide and I'll be sure to add an extra stitch or ten to the backside of your trousers. It is sure to please the ladies and/or gentlemen!
