It feels more and more like I spend most of my time pouring over battleplans than anything else. A few years ago this might not have been something that I'd think about but I noticed another gray hair or two this morning. Okay, there might have been more than 1 or 2 but I really don't want to think about this right now.

Things of note that occurred over the last weeks;
1. A shirt and a pair of my pants disappeared during the Kennex Lounger I hosted. The party went well. Darion enjoyed meeting people and having shaved ice. I tried to throw Wash into the pool. He resisted.
2. I had someone drop off a Marble Bust on my office desk. It took two of us to lift it up and onto a cart to wheel it away. I still haven't decided where to put it.
3. Someone sent missives around the city that I have made a Princess swoon and why haven't I given others the opportunity to. I received many missives to inquire of the above. How I've made anyone swoon is exceptionally confusing.
4. I hired someone to remove all the crabs and rabbits from the Kay.
5. During the War Games (was that even this week), I met Prince Kenjay and Captain Maris, two I hope to meet again soon.
6. I was invited to a lavish garden with a tree that was quote 'hunneds of years' old. I don't think I'll forget that or the soulful proclamations.
7. I officially became a member of the Academy of War. Why did this take me so long?

Looking back, there aren't journals in the white that I can reflect upon, or any, that family could. I don't know that it will change to be otherwise. Yet, how does a man lead, if not by example. How does a man inspire, without being inspired himself.
I will attempt to change the course that I have been on, at least, when it comes to my duty to Vellichor.
After the Battle of the Bay of Pieros, I spent the time board the ship sailing back, walking between the crew left alive, looking over the lists of the dead. In the journey home, I felt the winds of change on my back. Am I the same man who left Arx to raise sail against the Skal'daja? I would hearken to guess no, not entirely.

My brothers, Ian and Porter, I have been reunited with since. I look forward to finding Wash again, but I know he will need time. I have sat with my one voice and look forward to sitting with the other. I have nodded heads with many fine people, who were grateful to see me out. I have taken to sitting in a park on a late night stroll, listening about bees. I have sat in the salon to converse with one of the most eloquent peers of the realm. I watched proudly as my brother, Porter, finished his dedication of the Cathedral, a project he undertook a year ago and finished just this past week. He was elevated to Blessed, a Voice of Gild. Why would I not write to jot this down, to remember it.

I commend all those who organized the events for the Taste of Arx -- it was a very interesting and enjoyable experience, as always. I especially thank all those in charge of Thrax's contributions. While I did not participate in any of the games this time, I did walk by and liked what I saw.

Relationship Note on Gwenna
I don’t often write in the white journals, but I did not want to let this moment pass unremarked.
It was an odd thing to find myself with a patron — and some I’m sure would have found the combination of Princess Gwenna and myself an odd match. I admit that when she suggested it, I was caught off-guard, and while there was obviously quite a bit she could offer me, I was not sure as to what I could offer in return.
Now that I find myself in a position where it becomes necessary to dissolve the formal relationship, however, I find it extremely difficult. Princess Gwenna has been a loyal friend to Kennex since we met, and her assistance in our rebuilding has been invaluable. More than that, she has become a dear friend, which was unexpected but in no way unwelcome.
I consider myself very fortunate to have her support and friendship, and I only hope I will be able to repay even a part of what she has given me.
