Lady Veronica was the first of House Keaton that I actually met. My master had already been dead by the time I returned home to Oakhaven. I must admit, as soon as I met her I knew that the Keatons, the House that governed my home, were going to be my masters from this day 'til my last. We've had many misadventures since then, and now that I'm in the capital perhaps I can try and temper her boldness a little. That's more important (though not by much) than getting her to stop calling me Sir Paddy.

I could think of no better acknowledgement of a job well done, as a lawyer, than to be burned in effigy.
It really was all I could do to keep the crowd distracted with Kael, while you and Reigna found the damning evidence at the murder scene, Rohran and Natalia secured the poor woman so falsely accused, and Rane and Apollo rode down the true culprit. It could have had a much more tragic ending without all our efforts together.

It's a cute donkey. I wanted to see if I could refine the concept before I began a series of donkeys in various idyllic landscape paintings. Like, a Frozen Donkey of Everwinter, a Brave Donkey Dodging Arrows in the Shadowood, and maybe a Salty Donkey Wading in Thrax Bay.
I'll have them all hung in your room if you like.

I believe that trial by combat can be denied if the representative of the Faith determines the evidence is undeniable. Denied in some cases, noble right to trial by combat is rarely if ever denied that I know of but we are very far north in Whitehold.

I... see. He is getting more steady in his walking. He does have a well chewed sword toy. My suggestion would be to speak to Kael about his training, as I am useless when it comes to weaponry of all kinds, as well you know. If you would like to get him a lance, I would be amenable, so long as it is cushioned and covered in felt. I was wanting to ask Kael to make Aeryn a wooden horse with curved wooden rocking feet. Or possibly wheels.
