Relationship Note on Sabine
Once more I am a ship at full-sail without a rudder.
The marquessa provided purpose for me. We were united as show of good faith to the blood of Velenosa, to strengthen the bonds within the Lyceum. Most knew our marriage was duty-bound but few knew how deeply devoted we were to ensuring the other succeeded.
And this will forever be my greatest failure.
Once Lord Constantin comes of age, he will assume his rightful place as Count of the March of Iriscal. It is now the responsibility of everyone in our House, especially my own, to see he is given what he needs to succeed in the way of tutelage, experience and encouragement. He will make his House, his Sister, his Aunt and his Mother very proud. I swear this.
While the words of our dear cousin, General Piccola, are not to be taken without proper warning, I will offer no warning of my own. There will be no precursor of wrath, no herald of doom. Just the silence of finality, in whatever form is deemed most appropriate for those found responsible.

Relationship Note on Sabine
I received the summons not more than a week ago, but still I didn't have enough time to make it before the birth of my niece. I rode hard, but arrived late. The Marquessa, my cousin Sabine, had already given birth to her not long before I arrived. Still, she greeted me with open arms, and then a task. Her mother would be proud of her...she doesn't waste any time.

The level of determination and drive in the Lyceum is awe inspiring. I doubt there is anything a Lycene could not do should they wish it so.

A chance meeting in the Shrine of the Thirteenth led to a very interesting conversation with the Countess of Fortezza di Iriscal. She is extremely generous -- I am anxiously awaiting the luxury brocade piece that is being made from the bolts she sent Lady Margret and me. I only hope I am able to do its beauty justice.

My stars, would you have ever thought that it would be a greater task to get these endearing northerners /into/ smallclothes rather than out of them? Beloved, perhaps if the idea of well fitted and luxurious undergarments could be spread throughout the realm, Tessere could claim to be the broker of peace, as there would be less grumpiness and greater cheer. It is a start!
