A bad-ass leader for the Saik navy. I admire her skills and courage. She has matured over the last few years and stepped up when she was needed and for that, has my gratitude. She and my twin Ariella are close to kindred spirits I think.

Relationship Note on Neilda
My twin and I had a birthday very recently, which we intend to celebrate soon. However, we've already exchanged some gifts and acknowledged the day in a way that has become fairly standard - not seeing each other at all. That might sound dismal, but it isn't meant to be.
Just after the whirlpool disappeared, we slipped away with a small group to Nilanza, the surprise purpose of which was to catch her an octopus. We were rather successful and pretty much all of us wound up with one as pet (I still haven't named mine). She now has two! I would chase down a hundred octopuses - octopi? - to make her happy. She deserves it. My sister has been working hard for our family, and for me, and I would pluck every octopus from the ocean and every star from the sky if I thought either would adequately make up for everything she has done and will continue to do. She doesn't get nearly enough credit for what she does, for her talents, for her goodness. So, let me commit to the historical record: Lady Neilda Saik is phenomenal and I am one very lucky sister.

Neilda is back from whatever adventure she was off doing. I've never been so happy to see anyone. Well I have, but Neilda has a way of not telling me no. And telling me to do it anyway. Be fearless.

The sense of relief on seeing Neilda back home was immense. If anything had happened to her I would have felt I had failed in what Estaban wanted most, keeping his sisters, his family safe.

Relationship Note on Neilda
A protege? I never thought I would ever take one on or found someone who impressed me enough for it. Neilda Saik though? Eager to learn and improve at her roles, striving to succeed in the tasks she has been given by her family. I approve of that fully.
Closer ties between Malvici and Saik cannot be overstated either.

Relationship Note on Neilda
Interesting young woman, Estaban's youngest sister. We moved her into her other sister's room since Arcelia had married out of family and got her set up with armor and a weapon as gifts from Karadoc and myself. We are trying to make her feel welcome, wanted, and wish to make a home with us. Estaban wanted us to watch out for his family. I hope she will be happy here. I love her like another sister, she's family, but hope in time we will become close friends, too.
