Relationship Note on Lorenzo
Tragedy and triumph, heroes and heartbreak. I have so many thoughts, so much to write, but those words are ones I want to weigh a bit more. I am thankful to be home and unharmed, but so many others are not. My relief to see my chambers is edged with sorrow and anger in a jumble of feelings I've not yet sorted out.
That said, I am so very, very grateful that Lorenzo has also returned home. Hearing of his deeds upon the seas, and the honors bestowed upon him by Sir Preston, Grandmaster of the Templars and Carnifex of the Faith, and by Princess Marian, our Warchief, brought tears to my eyes. He has contributed so much to House Redrain, often quietly and without want of praise, and I have loved him deeply for how much he cares for the Northlands. That he took our banner along with so many others against the darkening shores of Sungreet...
Whenever I think I can not admire this amazing man any more, he proves me quite wrong.

Somehow, even in the midst of winter, my amazing husband manages to find beautiful, dried flowers to decorate our room. The scent and colors are like a promise of the spring to come, even as I watch snowflakes fall outside the window.

It does not seem possible that Lorenzo and I have been married only a year today. It feels like a lifetime ago that we seized that moment upon a ship headed back to Arx from Stormward, both a seraph and shaman aboard to perform the ceremony, not just a year. While I'm admittedly biased, I consider myself one of the luckiest women in Arx to have such an amazingly charming, caring, dedicated, and handsome husband. How fortunate I truly am to have him at my side and in my life, and I so very much hope to have many, many more years together to explore the world.

There are times that I struggle with my feelings and words. Not often, but a shadow will creep over me and threatens to crack my resolve. In so many of those times, my husband has been at my side and said something so elementary, so kind, that I marvel once again how lucky a woman I am. His passion in the project to bring copper and what it stands for to everyone is so admirable and when I think I couldn't possibly adore him more, I am proven wrong. I have a copper hued scarf, a design of Master Evaristo's I believe, that I will continue to wear as my own reminder - especially as times seem to grow more shadowed as of late.

Lorenzo and I have been married just over a month now and I still think myself one of the luckiest women in Arx. Truthfully, it seems like it must be so much longer than that, which I mean in the best way possible. Like my husband, I am so looking forward to the library we hope to create together and I swear we come up with new ideas for it each time we broach the topic. A few projects have me busier than I tend to be, but I'm grateful to assist on things people think I might be helpful on. I am very much looking forward to an upcoming recruitment trip as it will be the first I'll get to do beside Lorenzo. Surely after this winter in Arx, the weather in the north won't feel quite so cold for my dearest southern husband - right?

I was so happy to hear of my brother's betrothal to Princess Gwenna Redrain. The uniting of houses is always something to celebrate, and on a personal note, it makes me happy to see the both of you so happy together. I look forward to many visits and back and forth between the wards.

I am sure we will manage to get everything done in time for the wedding and I have even already received a couple of messages from some of my dearest friends offering help. The best thing about a July wedding is that it is the same month as my birthday, though I already have the best gift any woman could possibly hope for.

Prince Lorenzo is gracious in word regarding the painting I sent as a gift, which he inspired, really, so only seemed fitting. Colors have always been a love of mine, as is the feel of paint on the fingers or brush. Perhaps I should seek out lessons to better my skills soon, but for now, I am glad to have a pleased recipient. I look forward to further inspirations.
