Working WITH my brother was a fun experience. It was like like we were kids again. Kinda. Cadern got lost again, which was definitely like when we were children. I hope my niece has a better sense of direction.

Friendships can take many forms and life can surprise you when you make friends with someone who is quite unlike you in personality.
Marquis Cadern Blackwood is one of those people. He is hardly a martial sort and yet we have developed a friendship that I usually reserve for those I fight alongside.

I would also like to note that my Protege Lord Cadern Blackwood has become the Marquis-Consort of House Blackwood. To which I wish to give him my personal congratulations. May you have many happy years and at least a dozen children!
Accomplishments that I would like to highlight beyond a good marriage match (to a wonderful and beautiful soul, Marquessa Eilonwy Blackwood to whom I also congratulate and wish well)...
Marquis Cadern is a great researcher who specializes in Nefer'khat research and is the Magistrate of the Lower Boroughs. Most importantly, however, he has been one of my closer friends since I first arrived in Arx nearly 5 years ago.
Please send Marquis Cadern and Marquessa Eilonwy your congratulations on his marriage if you have not already. They are wonderful people and I am certain they would love to hear from you even if you are a complete stranger to them.

Without the Lord Magistrate's careful review and design for the Red Guard's code of conduct regarding the treatment of criminals within Acheron territories, I cannot say that these ambitious endeavors of our house would've been quite as successful as they have - at least not without much more in the way of bloodshed. Thanks to his efforts on behalf of a Northern neighbor along with Princess Agatha and my patron, Lord Commander Eleanor, our roads are safer for friends from far and wide, our people continue to flourish locally, and our newly-born armed forces see significant expansions.

The essential difference between our oaths to the Compact and a writ is that I choose again and again to fulfill my oaths. Relationship Note on Cadern
Some time ago, I wrote to the Crown Court for a consultation regarding practices within our own territories. That they were in no way obligated to bat so much as an eyelash my way yet responded so promptly speaks volumes to their civility. Not to mention Lord Cadern wasn't AT ALL as boring as I thought a Magistrate was going to be! No offense, anybody.

Relationship Note on Cadern
In reading Lord Cadern's entry to the latest Whites I have found out that Triton has returned to the North. It leaves me sad, but life must continue on. I will still work with House Ravenseye and I still enjoy Lord Cadern and Lord Danvir's company when I catch them. I look forward to future endeavors with them. The heart will heal. There are other things to attend to at the moment and I'm sure that I'll find someone in the future. Or Triton should he return some day. Who knows what the future holds.

I have begun a rather ambitious research project. My cousin introduced me to Lord Cadern and after just one conversation, I have already had my eyes opened to a number of new avenues, possibilities, and I am already making numerous notes on other paths.
There simply isn't enough time in the day!
And that's not even taking into account the whole other topic I wish to bend his ear about.
