Oh, so the other day I received the most THOUGHTFUL of gifts. It wasn't for me though, it was for Princess Sally Acorn. It is a bed with acorns stitched upon it. Perfect for little baby squirrels to sleep upon.

I adore my siblings, even when they drive me to utmost distraction.
Gaius has always been the most shrewd. I thought for aure he would take over my parent's arm of the business. He knows what people want and how to connect them to it. He has weathered so many falls only to rise at the end again stronger.
Delilah is the smartest. Sometimes when she opens her mouth I just don't understand what comes out. Not only that but she shrouds herself in so many mysteries that pulling a straight answer out is much like trying to get water from a rock.
Evonleigh is the most creative. When she puts herself into a role she becomes one with it, till it is hard to know exactly where she ends and the role begins.
None of us really step on one another's toes. I just hope they have forgiven me my wildness in youth. We don't compete, we complete one another.

Heroes? That's easy.
My cousin, Silas. Always had been, always will be.
Now, is that it? No. I could make a huuggee list, but then I would leave someone off and then someone would feel neglected.
Suffice it to say that I define a hero very simply and broadly. A hero is someone who gets up, does what needs to be done for the best of their sphere.
Yes, sometimes this may lead to a hero being reviled and cast upon for their actions. I will always take intent into account though.

I don't think that I have ever had so much laughter in an evening than I did tonight on Silas's ship with my family around me. The jokes, puns, poor (and in Evonleigh's case AMAZING) acting.. heavens. It was everything I could have wanted, and perfect among the seriousness of the trouble at the Lodge.

Jyri took a moment to look at Sally today before we found a body in the river.
The dead body was unfortunate.
But it's confirmed! Sally Acorn IS pregnant. I'm afraid she's going to be soiled even more rotten now.
She deserves it though. I'll have to find a new messenger once she gets too heavy though. Hopefully she'll be okay with that. Maybe Muffin is old enough now to take on that responsibility.

By the end my disagreement with the Lord in question had little to do with starving children and more to do with the place of nobility to use our station to raise others up. Losing my temper really didn't help that.
I also very much doubt Redreef has anything that would be enough for courtship of any type.
