It should be noted for future readers that although Blessed Aleksei's dog is a delightful animal, and I do not get to pet him as he deserves nearly often enough, he would not be an acceptable Archlector of the Faith, nor would I wish to trade Aleksei for him or any other adorable animals.
However, if the Archlector would like to ensure that this continues to be true, then he could always bring Peanut by for a petting session one of these days.

I thought I was going to go find a quick sparring match to clear my head a little, even though my heart wasn't really set on it. When I stopped thinking about where I was going and just let myself wander, I ended up on Legate Row.

A sword lily, though it goes by many other names, is my choice of flower to best suit Aleksei -- since this seems to be the topic of the moment. The zinnias while beautiful and speak of summer were nice but still pale, I think, in comparison. Both are summer flowers, both have beautiful blooms but the sword lily, come the warm, stretch for the sun with an unmatched vibrancy. They bespeak all things sunny, charmed, and have never once failed to make me smile on seeing them.
That and by virtue of it's name, lends to his skill with a sword.

With all due respect to Blessed Aleksei, I feel a public record must be corrected.
Prince Abbas was not removed from his post for the slaughter of Abandoned. He remained Warlord for a significant time afterwards, all the way up to the Darkwater assault on Malestrom, and was only removed from his post and whipped as punishments for even more heinous acts committed after the slaughter of tens of thousands of children and noncombatants. Up until that point, he had the full support of Prince Victus, and remained the supreme commander over the forces he led in acts abhorrent to Gloria.
