Today I learned that Princess Reese can be a person to,
Most of the time I thought her aloof and deep in her responsibilities, but I insisted that she set that aside for a spell.
There is a lot beneath the surface, but typically I do not look, typically she would not of let me.
When the missions begin I think it will be a little easier to follow her now that there is a sense of knowing her better.
The mysteries of Arx truly reside in the hearts of the residents.

Few are such a swirl of planning and activity as Princess Reese of Grayson. How she can manage a military meeting of her House, with its cacophony of side comments, suggestions, and questions is beyond me. But this will be my second deployment under her command, and I am pleased to do it.

Once again it seems I found myself in debt to Princess Reese. When I was hit in the first bouts of combat at Maelstrom, quite severely in fact, Reese moved to protect me and allow me to continue the fight. Useful given the limited retreat options.

As a self-proclaimed "man of fucking science" and studious scholar of societal norms, I have come to a consensus.
Pink is a stupid color for a ship. Not because it is a lesser color; no color is lesser than another, and it would take decades of very streamlined one-sided advertisement, marketing, and convincing by a large group of people with the single-minded idea of oppressing a group to make money to make a color be seen as lesser. I myself own a wonderful pair of spotted pink underwear and feel no shame in sharing that fact.
Pink is a stupid color because it makes you stand out on the water from across an entire Gods damned ocean, putting your entire crew at risk, and the Compact itself if the mission you're on is actually important to the world-ending crises that await us. Not to mention the inconclusive results concerning long-term tests of paint solubility in open ocean salt water. Your ship very well could rot away.

My cousin Reese fought in the Siege of the Grayson Camp with inspiration and valor. Perhaps, if she hadn't been with us, the results would've been different. I am not a fanatic of speculation, however. A fact is that I am glad she is with us.

Relationship Note on Reese
I knew not quite what to expect from the Graysons when I came to Arx. I had lived all my life in the Compact in the Twainfort, only aware of the Great House in a distant way. Princess Reese was the first Grayson I spent much time with, due to her military duties and mine often having common cause. She was both what I expected and not. Proud and glittering, as the Griffons are renowned to be, and unfailing brave. But also open to trying to understand that which is not her own, even when it was difficult.
That is what I take from this mission into the Gray Forest. That I am among those in the Compact who are at least willing to try to seek common ground with the shav'arvani outside it, and do not just see them as an Other to slaughter and subjugate. As a Prodigal, I take that as no small thing, and it gives me better heart for the fight ahead.

Don't think that I didn't see you trying to put yourself in harms way during the siege. A scout has a way of seeing many things at once. Please try to take better care of yourself. You cannot lead armies if you are dead. And, you cannot be a sister if you are dead too. We need you too much in this fight, and I need you to keep me sane during court events!

I have nothing but praise for Princess Reese and her efforts in the Gray Forest. People talk a big game, sometimes, but the Princess backs it up with action. This last week has been an eye-opener for me, and I'm thankful for it.
