Soon, it will be my birthday -- I'll be 22! I have been in Arx now for three years and so much has happened!
To touch upon some of the more light-hearted highlights (because we all know the big, serious, grim things that have happened over the years):
- I won an ice dancing competition (thanks Stumps!)
- I very unsuccessfully named a vintage of wine (so sorry to all who heard that suggestion)
- I had a secret love affair (shhh!)
- I bested Princess Sabella in a Best Hugger of Arx hug-off and have the trophy to prove it
- I guilted Prince Luca into giving me a kitten (okay, we share custody)
- I now lead the Heart in Hand charity (come to Heart in Hand for all your charity needs)
- I've given out countless hugs and danced countless dances and laughed more than any person has a right to laugh (what joy!)
What a wonderful three years it has been. I look forward to what the future holds and the adventures that I will have. The possibilities, as ever, are endless!

Relationship Note on Ysabel
I have met the most wonderful friend: the Baroness of ME! Ha!
How delightful it was to run into Baroness Ysabel Gilden, the Baroness of -Caith-. We had tremendous fun laughing about how she was my baroness and I found her completely and utterly charming (just as one would expect a Baroness of Me to be). When the weather got to be too cold and blustery to go out into, she invited me to stay over in her room and we had a lovely time drinking, eating and reading aloud from the book of puns I had with me.
What did the grape say when it was crushed? Nothing, it just let out a little wine.

Someone told me that buying oneself a lovely thing or two can be a balm to sadness. So I purchased some aeterna and umbra with the intention to have it all made into something pretty.
I'm not feeling much better though.

I have been having such a lovely time spending time with the children at the plays that Princess Sabella has been putting on -- and I am just in awe of everyone's talent and hard work! It's a delight, truly a delight, to be involved with an endeavor that brings so much joy to so many young ones.

What a week!
- I had a Very Important Meeting, out of which I have clear marching orders for how to proceed. Scary but exciting at the same time. EEEEK!
- Hug-Off went well! I do believe everyone had a good time, Sabella was a most excellent opponent and I won (not that I had any doubt that on that score). I look forward to the next time we wrap arms around each other competitively.
- Tomwell! Oh, my dear, sweet cousin! He became a Godsworn priest and I am so proud of him! Such a big step, such a huge life choice but I know he will be happy and the world will be made better for it.
- Cassima and Gareth are still getting married! HURRAH! Although I will miss her terribly. Cassima Grayson .. how strange that will be! Although I am delighted that Gareth will be legally required to let me hug him now.

I have been a bit withdrawn from the public eye of late. I should probably make more of an effort to get out and about but I find myself rather engaged these days with several projects and research tasks. Some things have been completed while others remain just beyond my grasp. It doesn't help matters any that I have injured my hand! That has slowed me down a bit.
Still! I will endeavor to get out more. It feels like an age since I have had an evening with friends.

It is a pity that it required you talking to trusted friends and /one of the most powerful people in the Compact/ before you could figure out that you shouldn't be accepting the challenge of a grief-stricken man but hopefully you will learn from this experience and this will be the first step on your journey towards finding your heart.
