My family has lead my people for as long as many of your ancient families. But because we were not recognized by your Compact until recently that means My blood is somehow less?

I am pleased at the announcement given of House Thrax. It could not make me happier to see such practices come to an end in the land I now call my home. My people have already offered home for those in need. If it is something we may continue doing we would be happy to do so. Some few of my clan will likely come to join us.

The Princess of Ribbons is the ever so charming, beautiful and the picture of grace. I had a wonderful time speaking with her across a variety of conversations. When we were told stories of the Princesses of the Compact, she shares all the good qualities with those stories. The fact that she shares all the qualities of the noble and victorious warrior as well is all the more surprising and admirable.

Apparently, there are Bathhouses in Arx. You take a bath, with other people in a house. We just did it in the river. That said, there was less sand this way, and the warm water is a nice touch.
I also discovered that I am not the only one who looks at the prospect of finding a spouse with some chagrin.

That is what we strive for, that is what we sacrifice for, the belief that despite the horrible things that have befallen us and the terrible prices we have paid, we believe we will find it. Our new ward is wonderful, our people and especially Eshra outdid themselves.
What we find is our culture blending with that of the city, and though we all miss Riva, we are settling quite well. We will have our peace, and we will also stand for the Compact when needed, Rivenshari will render respect where it is deserved, and there are many within this city who are deserving.

It has taken me some time to pen this as my heart has had to steady its self. Lady Eirlys has died. I have drank, I have smoked and I have sat in utter disbelief, though she died in battle and will be remembered for her bravery it does not reduce the pain which I have endured.
I shall soon make a proclamation about her and all the lives lost during this war, loss is something we all know too well, so I mourn and offer my prayers to the Gods and Spirits that tend to her now.

The city has been most welcoming to me thus far, I appreciate the hospitality and generosity shown to me and my family. It is quite the change in transitioning from a clan Chieftain to a Count, should I offend anyone, you have my sincerest apologies. To my people, know that all I do, I do for you. As I have worked beside you and fought for you, know that I still do those things, only not always in Riva.
