You're making the assumption that he has any virtuous kin to begin with, let alone ones that can actually restrain him in some way. That's a pretty big assumption. And he's not demanding a room in the house either, but a bunch of people want to offer him one anyway because they seem to expect that if they're just polite enough, he'll stop being an asshole.
I get that the Compact isn't used to being on this side of things, but people are being painfully naive. They don't care about your rules, your titles, your customs, or your traditions, and there is nothing you can do to make them care, because you don't have the power to force them to do anything. They likely care about you and what's important to you less than the average noble house cares about some Abandoned squatters in the woods and what's important to them. Unfortunately, it's not like the entire Compact can just pick up and leave if they decide they don't care about our decision to reject their offers either.

I have to see it. In a way it would be perfect as she shot one down that was lunging at me and I am assuming it is the same one gifted. Still, if you think it looked wild with red eyes, imagine them black. I still shudder when thinking of the sight of that thing loping and leaping at me. Never have I been happier for Arcadia's bravery and irrepressible spirit than when she came swinging out of those trees shooting.

Over the last few days I have sent the poetic lord some of my -best- work. I, Arcadia Stahlben, have taken pen to paper in an artistic endeavor. Yet the good Lord has said he hates my work. The first he even deposited it in the fire!

In turn has the taciturn tact of form.
To not humor verse trite and free,
To rhyme and not lapse the norm.
A jewel, a poem free from the ramble,
Structure, syntax, a coherent canticle.
To shun the masses, embrace the gamble,
Your swan song, a journal as epochal.
The horn has heralded, the hunt to sound,
A poem to which my mind may lend care,
Vine of verse, to which fatuity is not bound,
A lack of asininity both reassuring and rare.
So thorns and roses turn the aureate eye,
What shall this Knight of bards supply?

I simply wished to protect those who needed it, as is a knight's duty.

I admit that when I received the invitation from Lord Rysen, I was nervous. I felt as though his words put me at a higher standing than I deserved, and I had no idea what to expect from the evening.
Then the evening happened, and I realized I had been worrying for nothing.
Lord Rysen was an excellent host and the opportunity for conversation he created will aid a great many people. I am both deeply impressed and humbled to have been a part.

May the Gods guide you in your pursuit of justice - strike hard against those who would harm the compact, strike without doubt. But, if I may humbly suggest, strike with certainty. Ensure those you attack and those such an attack would harm are guilty, or you will find that honour and justice you sought crumbles like dust in your hands. The anger and the mistakes it can force I fear as much part of our enemy's plan.

I highly recommend, Lord Rysen, that you be careful regarding your accusations of preferences for violence over truth. They do not become a person of your station, and they could tip the "court of public opinion" against you.
Honor duels are a respected tradition in this city, and the traditional way for solving such disputes. If that is news to you, then I fear the people responsible for your education failed you.

It truly was a pleasure to see not just you, but many others, learn a few basic steps and have themselves proper ready for when the next ball may call upon us to be upon the dance floor.
