I thought to write to you about Basil since you seem to be so greatly concerned about the well being of the lamb. Basil is well and full of delight and far too much energy. I worry that our grounds are not extensive enough for her but she seems to be growing bigger by the hour - which is likely true. She eats far too many leafy greens then is likely advisable for I do not even like that many leafy greens. I will keep you advised to her status.

Lord Michael Bisland, you work too hard. This will not do. You are young. Take it from an heir with many years on you. You will burn out if you do not take moments to relax. Swimming is one of the best ways to relax. I encourage you to swim. You need not worry about riptides if you start in the pond. I would be happy to teach you! I am not some ogre who is going to toss you off a cliff into the ocean.

Why in the world would a customer be expected to show generosity? Sir Jeffeth had other options, and plenty of them. He did Josephine a favor by choosing to take his business to her, and it was in her interest to provide the best deal she could accomodate.
When their haggling hit a wall and Josephine refused to go lower, that really should have been the end of it, but the implication that someone else could offer a better deal wounded Josephine's incredibly delicate pride and here we all are.

I found it very intriguing to receive a message from Sir Struttington when I stood right next to you. Perhaps Sir Struttington could also use a tiara to good effect.

Lord Michael of Bisland, Sword of Pridehall, what would I do without you? His impromptu party to lift spirits was a delight. The dancing was enchanting and the gift an unexpected treat. His kindness and charming cheer is so well welcome and much needed of late.
I cannot say how much I appreciate his doing all this without asking a thing in return. He does it because he wishes to make people happy. I hope I can thank him enough for his kindnesses.
He is very much a treasure and a beautiful friend.

"Steadfast as Stone" is something of a mouthful as well, my liege.
If it helps, my Rangers often shorten it to "as stone" while my sailors seem to prefer "steadfast" and as for myself, we'll I prefer to use it in writing.
I may strategize and command well, but I infinitely prefer my library to the battlefield.
