Another one of us in th' Guard. He ain't too bad for someone that uses a lot of words (a lot. a whole lot. a looooot) on account of the dagger he gave me. I've started practicin with it by tossin it across m'room at the Crown and into th' wall on th' other side of the target I drew up an' pinned there. I might even get good enough to win a game o'darts at th' Murder.

Master Merek has a good head on his shoulders, in spite of the heroics he attempted to partake in while armorless during his first day on the job. Thankfully his recklessness hasn't persisted and he is now acquainting himself well with influential members of society in lieu of being a good guardsman.
Also I like the goblet he made me.

This young man is anxious to prove himself, and what he lacks in experience he makes up in sheer bravery. This will either lead him to great things, or get him killed, be it biting off more than he can chew or getting murdered in the dark.

It was nice to spar with someone today. I meet Mister Merek Black, my cousin's new patron. He's skilled but I didn't realize how fast I am. I should have eased up. I will run out of challengers if I keep up like this.
