Duarte lingers behind after the arrival and after the duchess breaks from his side. His attention is turned to Brogan and Valencia, whom he approaches with a wide smile for both. "Oh it's been too long!"

Marian finds a place, bringing her guard, Marcas, with her as she finds a place to watch the proceedings. Her baby bump has gotten bigger since the Battle of Stormwall, putting her at about 22 weeks. She lightly rubs her back, her eyes scanning the crowd. Her expression softens as Marcas speaks of her daughter. There are many polite nods given to all present as she recognizes Jeffeth, Belladonna, Sparte, Valencia, Daemon, Esoka, Calaudrin, Duarte, Mydas, Aleksei, Brogan, and Thena.

Carmichael arrives, following Theodoric.

The large Northman, Lord Brogan Nightgold, arrives escorting the Princess Valencia Velenosa, and the two seem a little reserved... especially compared to the normal smile and boisterous attitude that Brogan sports. Brogan's ice blue eyes scan the area, giving a warm smile to Marian, and then Duarte comes up to him. One arm held by the Princes, Brogan uses the other to wrap Duarte in a friendly embrace, "Duarte. Damn fine to see you, my friend." he rumbles to him with obvious sincerity. "Find a place to sit..." his eyes then falling on Mydas, and waving to him, "Maybe over there?"

Esoka enters the park with Calaudrin, a hand on his arm. She moves promptly to the table with the drinks, offering quick, polite greetings to those she passes.

Thena has been puttering as is her wont before this sort of thing, making sure everything is prepared, everyone knows their duty. She's dressed in a simple dark silk down, hair loose. "Duchess. Thank you for providing the wine, it all got here unscathed," she murmurs as Belladonna clasps her hand, then she hops up on a low bench to address the growing crowd. "Evening, everyone. I'm going to start things up in a few moments, but if you'd like to get a glass of wine or whiskey or ale beforehand, please feel free. Or wave one of the acolytes over. Open bar, courtesy of the Pravuses and Master Venturo Thayne, in honor of Grandmaster Armel."

Ettore gives an answering nod to Marian, before his eyes turn to Brogan, hearing his voice. "There's plenty of space, and I've little intention to claim the whole thing for myself." he smirks lightly. He's not the warmest of men, but it's a polite invitation.

Wakes are nice, cheery places to hang out. Calaudrin looks especially excited tonight! And by that we mean, he's put on his most dour expression for the occasion. He's wandered into the park wearing regular clothes as opposed to being fully armoured and takes a seat at one of the picnic tables with Esoka. He folds his arms onto it and looks around before reaching for one the drinks.

The Knight gives a nod to Marian as she acknowledges him. Daemon's eyes turn to look upon their host of the evening and his new Grandmaster. Lips pursed a moment as she gestures for wine and spirits. He gives a passing glance to all others who arrive before he speaks up. "Is there... Is there any milk?" He asks as his head tilts to the side curiously.

There might be some milk.

The little vixen offers a quietly kind nod to Marian and a little lost smile to Marcus, her eyes lighting up a touch to see him after so very long, but the spark soon fads for a more solemn expression. She smiles again as Duarte approaches, her eyes softening warmly as she offers the Lycene Count a delicate hand in greeting. "My sweetest Count, I am so very had to see your face," she offers, her eye looking weary and sore from crying. "I'm so very sorry it is such a sad thing that brings us together again. I hope you will forgive me," she ask witih sweet sincerity. A grateful smile is offered Mydas' way and she looks to Brogan to allow him to decide if this pleases.

Duarte checked perception at difficulty 15, rolling 7 higher.

Valencia has joined the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Brogan has joined the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Marian has joined the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Standing solemnly next to Marian, her bodyguard remains next to the Warchief at all times, although a slight smile cracks his composure at her words. A nod of recognition is given to those he knows - Valencia, Mydas, Jeffeth on his way out - but otherwise remains silent and alert, grey eyes scanning over the crowd.

Aleksei steps into the park in his usual white leathers; they're certainly bright for a wake, but they're stitched with the sigils of Skald and the Faith, so presumably they're acceptable by default. His gaze shifts across those gathered, but he takes a moment to procure himself a glass of whiskey to start.

Moving back towards her escort for the evening, Belladonna stops an acolyte along the way and requests a four glasses of wine and a glass of whiskey be sent towards the arch, in anticipation of the small group moving to join Mydas. She amends that to four glasses of wine and three of whiskey when Marian and, perhaps, Marcas head that way as well. Moving in that direction, she offers a small nod and brief smile to the others beofre looking to Duarte, "Introductions are in order for at least a few of us, I believe?"

Belladonna has joined the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

"Thank nothing of it your highnes---" But wait! Duarte's head turns. Could it be! "Excuse me, please." He touches Valencia's arm, "We'll catch up later." He trots off and digs behind barrels. It is! He lifts a jug of milk - the only one! - and places it prominently in display in front of the wine.

The bulky figure of Sir Jeffeth Bayweather arrives. His dark red armor nearly black in the fading light. The man is carrying a jug. Some sort of special drink? "Brother!" The large man calls, lowering a jug in front of Daemon. A jug of milk. Though he glances over at Duarte at the same time as if looking at someone who wear the exact same outfit to the party. His free hand goes to clap his fellow knight on the shoulder before Jeffeth is going to find a seat.

Jeffeth has joined the a serene stone bowl fountain with accented grooves.

Jordan is a solemnly but unimpressively dressed figure as e joins the memorial to a Grandmaster he has only heard of, but not really known. He'll join the crowd quietly, unobtrusively.

Entering the park with light steps comes a slender male figure clad mostly in dusk colored leather. A mint green shirt worn under his vest is the only truly colorful thing he wears and it matches nicely with those bright emerald green eyes of his, eyes that are currently scanning the area calmly. That long crimson colored hair makes Arion stand out more than a little as he wanders through the growing crowds, dipping his head low to those he passes in polite respect.

Duarte has joined the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Thena waits until everyone is resettled, hopefully with booze (or milk?) before speaking again. "As you know, the Silver Order lost our Grandmaster, Armel Godsworn, on the field of battle at Stormwall. Some of you knew him well. Some of you may have known him only by reputation. But I would invite anyone who has something to say about him to speak up. Share anything you wish. And if you'd rather not, that's fine too." The acolytes continue to make the rounds.

Calaudrin has joined the line.

Esoka has joined the a serene stone bowl fountain with accented grooves.

Marian has joined the line.

Esoka has joined the line.

Aleksei has joined the line.

That is a lot of milk. More so than Daemon could have ever hoped for when his eyes spy it all. He turns his head toward Jeffeth and greets the man with a nod and a thin smile. "Brother." He returns, "Thank you for this gift, may it renew my heart on this evening of mourn." With a quick salute, he takes the /entire/ jug and tilts it over his chin, taking big gulps.

Esoka gets an ale then settles next to Calaudrin, reaching over to give him a pat on the shoulder as Thena asks folks to share. She's settled near Daemon and Jeffeth, as it happens. Both are offered an inclination of her curly head. "Good sirs."

Turn in line: Calaudrin

Belladonna has joined the line.

Calaudrin knocks back some of his drink and then hops up to get in line. He's the first one in line. Even he looks a little bewildered by this turn of events. At some point he started smoking, an act he pauses so that he can begin to speak. "I didn't know Grandmaster Armel Godsworn very well. But I'll tell you the tale of the first time I met him." He clears his throat. It's storytime. "Once upon a time, I was checking out some mysterious tales out of the lower boroughs with the /current/ Grandmaster of the Knights of Solace when she was just a guardswoman that annoyed me at every possible opportunity. Armel Godsworn was also there for some reason. Our leads head us heading into some... tunnels? Where we encountered a large swarm of angry, perfectly ordinary rats. He threw a stone at them. I asked 'WHY?' and he said something to the effect of it happening eventually anyway. At which point, we were completely swarmed by angry rodents that were biting me. I spent the next two weeks concerned I'd turn into a giant rat. To make this story quick, he was a pretty good fighter. We didn't die and I sort of liked him at the end. I was sad to hear he died, but glad he did it while fighting." And then, since he's the worst public speaker ever, he awkwardly nods and goes back to the table.

Did Thena just roll her eyes a little? Probably.

Turn in line: Marian

Marian politely claps at Calaudrin's bravery for going first. Then it is her turn to speak. The Warchief of Redrain gets up to say a few words, "In the North, our warriors are taught to follow the bear. To sink deep within themselves to find the answers they sought. For we possess all the resources necessary to survive and thrive in the harshness of solitude. When winter thaws and spring comes to bare, then we emerge from the darkness." Marian gives a silent salute to the man that has fallen and then she looks back upon the crowd in front of her, "Grandmaster Armel fought as fierce as any Redrain warrior to protect those in the city, and help them escape to the passes. He gave his life for others. He fell so others could live. As he rejoins the Wheel, House Redrain honors his sacrific, and hopes when he emerges from darkness again, he will once again take arms to protect the Crown and Compact."

Turn in line: Esoka

Mydas has joined the line.

Sparte has joined the line.

Jordan has joined the line.

Jordan approaches Jeffeth after a moment, uttering a quiet, "Good eve," to the man, before heading over to the line of people to speak.

Esoka squeezes Calaudrin's shoulder when he's done, comforting and lookinf for comfort, as she gets up. A bow is offered to Marian for her tale, before the prodigal knight begins her own. "There are a thousand things I mourn about Grandmaster Armel's loss, but I find I'm most sorry that we didn't get to drink and talk about our faith once more again, one last time. It's those memories I'll hold onto. He was so smart, which I sometimes don't think he got enough credit for, fearsome as he could be when he needed to be. I came to understand the virtues of Gild, charity and respect for civilization, more through knowing him than I have through any other man. And he had good taste in ale." She's brought up her cup, which she lifts. "I'll miss you, my friend." With that, she returns to her seat.

Arion takes up a spot out of the way, standing quietly and listening as people speak. His expression is one of serene calm as he quietly observes the goings on around him in respectful silence. A hand reaches up, brushing a strand of that waist length crimson hair back into its proper place.

Turn in line: Aleksei

"Sir." Is uttered by the large knight as Jordan walks by him to join the line. Jeffeth frowns lightly before looking down, at the ground below him. The Knight of Solace leans in to murmur quietly to Daemon before sitting straight.

"I think the first time I met Armel was the night I took my vows to become Godsworn," Aleksei says once he's made his way to the front. Area. Front-ish area. His smile is a little tight, a little sad. "He had to decide whether or not he was going to execute me in the Cathedral, because I accidentally cursed at Father Orazio in the middle of the ceremony. I don't think I was the /kind/ of person that Armel liked -- he was always pretty quiet, pretty serious. But I think he /did/ like me. I think we were friends. We endured -- a lot together. Being hunted by a demon. Finally destroying it." He swallows, the memory weighing heavy for a moment before he moves on. "He didn't want people to know how squishy he could get underneath all that gruffness, but he could get pretty squishy. He cared about people. He loved the gods, and I think that Gild loved him a bit extra, maybe." His smile goes a bit crooked. A bit wistful. "I liked him a lot." And then he steps away from the line.

When Esoka returns to her seat, he puts a comforting arm around her and settles into the quiet business of listening to people give speeches while enjoying his drink. He occasionally cuts a look around to the others that are seated and quietly speaking.

Calaudrin has joined the a serene stone bowl fountain with accented grooves.

Thena stands to one side while the others speak, sipping from a glass of what looks like whiskey and clearly listening intently.

Turn in line: Belladonna

Daemon has a small frown on his face as many step up to speak, his expression somewhat pained. He's set the jug aside to instead favor a mug, where he drinks quietly. The tabard of gild he wears slightly singed, the very same he'd worn to battle. "Dame Greenblood." The knight greets as she sits beside them. That frown of his grows as Jeffeth leans in to speak and he utters a quiet reply.

Aleksei has joined the a serene stone bowl fountain with accented grooves.

Aleksei slips away from the front and makes his way over to the fountain where Daemon, Jeffeth, Esoka, and Calaudrin are all seated. He offers a small slip of a smile to them as he settles in to listen to the others speak.

Belladonna steps away from the arch to approach the frotn of the crowd. A small slip of paper is held lightly in her fingers, a glass of wine carefully held by the stem in the other. Turning to face the crowd, she addresses them solemnly. "I was not personally acquainted with the Grandmaster, but I will be forever grateful for the friendship he provided to my husband. The Grandmaster helped him through some dark times that I'm afraid I could not. For that alone I would appreciate the Grandmaster. He was also, however, an excellent commander and fighter, holding the line to the last to allow others to escape. But tonight, I will share the words that my husband has for the departed Armel Godsworn." Lifting the paper, she reads, "Armel, you never once wavered, no matter the evil or risk to yourself. Never once did you shirk from your duty. That alone speaks more about you than I could in an archive of praise." Lowering the paper, she lifts her glass in a toast to the departed Grandmaster, taking a drink before moving back to the arch.

Turn in line: Mydas

There is a look of empathy and a touch of sorrow showing on Arion's face now as he continues to observe. He listens to the words spoken calmly and slowly begins to drift towards where the drinks are being kept. He remains alert still listening as the speeches continue even as he moves to pour himself some whiskey.

Ettore steps forward after Belladonna, taking a moment to look upon those gathered before speaking. "I knew the late Grandmaster as a Mirrormask knows those who come within the Shrine of the Thirteenth for guidance, during their struggles. Armel was a man who faced many evils, and on more than one occasion, was brought near his breaking point by them. Even early on, he had to face what many of us would never imagine. And then came the Siege, and the horrors that were unleashed. He was afraid. He was angry. Hateful. They took his eye, the things that he loved, hurt the people that were close to him. Yet he did not break." He pauses then, not from lack of words to say, but to let those already spoken to sink in. "He was a man, a flawed man. But he did not break. He kept to his path, no matter how much it might waver, no matter how close to the edge he was taken. He served the Faith, he served Gild and Her people. Let his life be remembered. The whole of it. That it may serve as a light to guide others in the dark." And with that, Ettore returns to his seat, the Mirrormask finished.

Turn in line: Sparte

Duarte has left the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Orland leaves, following Duarte.

It takes a little while for Sparte to step forward and get in line, and a little while longer for him to get to the front of it. He takes off his helmet, holding it to his chest respectfully as he speaks. "The Grandmaster was someone I met and admired when I was still just a nobody guardsman. He... He took the time to train me, one of the three mentors I've had who have meant the most for my growth into who I am. He wasn't kind, he wasn't gentle, he didn't give half a rat what you thought of him. He was a hero, who got the job done once he set his mind to it."

Sparte lets out a heavy sigh. "I knew he'd end this way. Maybe not today, maybe not here, but saving lives. Fighting odds that he should never have had to face. Doing it so others wouldn't have to." Sparte glances to Thena. "Forgive me, but none of us can be who he was and do what he did. Nor do I feel we should try to. Instead I hope the Knights find the courage not to carry his legacy, but grow a new one he would be proud of in turn. I will never forget him." Sparte slips his helmet back on, stepping away to find a spot back away from the front of the crowd.

Turn in line: Jordan

"I don't have much to say because I did not know the man personally, but I do know that the Grandmaster of the Knights of Solace was known in the Crownlands for his deeds, and the selflessness in sacrificing oneself in the Northlands against our fearsome enemies speaks much in justifying his fame. One day, I hope to have as many deeds attributed to myself as he does, though I am a simple knight, and no one of note at all." Jordan states, bows his head to those present, and walks away after declaring, "Lady Gild bless his soul, always, and may his next turn at the Wheel be as glorious and charming as his life had been."

Marcas has joined the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Marcas has left the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Once Jordan has finished speaking, Thena hops up on her bench again, whiskey glass still in hand. She lets silence, punctuated by the crackling of the bonfire, reign for a moment before saying anything. "I'm not good at speaking my feelings, but what every one of you has said is true. He was angry, and squishy, and didn't give a fuck what you thought about him. He fought to the the last. Never shirked. I don't know what dark things tormented him...he was away from the city more than he was here in the time that I knew him. But I can guess. Still, he fought on. He, like so many we have lost, cannot be replaced. Still, Gild lights his path and I don't think he would want us to grieve overmuch. So I invite you to stay if you like, chat, drink...whatever you feel. Thank you for coming, even those who didn't know him." She lifts her glass. "To Grandmaster Armel Godsworn."

Marian is overheard praising Thena for: For hosting the memorial for Grandmaster Armel.

Mydas stands from his seat, and the Velenosa raises his glass. "To Grandmaster Armel Godsworn." he echoes, and drinks.

Marian raises her glass to join in the toast, "To Grandmaster Armel Godsworn." She then drinks her own cup, of course it's got only water since she is not imbibing these days but it's the sentiment that counts.

Arion raises his newly filled glass at those words. "To Grandmaster Armel Godsworn." Comes the soft voice from the crimson haired lad before he takes a sip of the drink. His eyes wander over those present, as if considering approching one of them.

Daemon quietly raises his glass of milk. "To our fallen brother." And drinks.

Calaudrin lifts his drink from where he sits, "To Grandmaster Armel Godsworn."

"To Armel!" Aleksei says, lifting his glass in the air to join the toast.

Esoka lifts her cup high, to toast Armel. "To Armel Godsworn, one of Gild's finest servants!"

Thena knocks back the remains of her glass and steps down, heading for the table for a refill before making the rounds.

Valencia smile gently and takes a sip at the toast. Rising gracefully, she moves to speak quietly with Brogan and then turns back to the others. "I'm so very sorry. I'm a little weary. It's been a difficult time. Please feel free to come to drink at my Hart. We would be so happy to see you." Another smile is offered to one and all, "If you will pardon me," she asks moving to take Brogan's arm again.

Jeffeth is staring down at the fountain his gaze slowly raising as Arion approaches. The large man does not have much expression on his lips besides slowly raising his tankard wordlessly. He does however motion for Arion to join them, should he wish.

Jordan nods, lifting a tankard in homage to the man with a smile, before wandering up to Jeffeth again. "Sir Jeffeth, hello. I have a few questions for you, if you'd indulge me?"

Lifting her glass once more, Belladonna murmurs, "To Grandmaster Armel." Taking a sip, she glances off in a direction away from the gathered people, then looks back with a charming smile and gives a nod to Valencia. "Of course, my dear. It has been a trying time for so many, please, rest. It was lovely to see you."

Thena makes her way over to Belladonna, a glass of wine in hand this time. "Duchess, would you please thank the Duke on my behalf for his kind words? And my thanks to you as well, for delivering them."

After a moment of thought Arion begins to move once more. He drifts over towards Marian, taking a sip of his drink before bowing politely. "Hello to you." He offers softly. Noticing the raise of Jeffeth's tankard in his direction he offers a soft smile and lifts his own cup in return. Looking back to Marian he seems to consider a moment.

Mydas, or Ettore, resumes his seat after the toast. When Thena approaches Belladonna, he glances their way, but otherwise resumes his silence, mind elsewhere.

Marian gives a short bow, because of her pregnant state. She lightly rubs her belly, "It is nice to meet you. I am Princess Marian Redrain, Warchief." She nods to the others present, "I was leading the Battle of Stormwall." It's clear that for every man lost, the warchief feels pain for it.

The big knight glances over to Daemon and then up to Jordan. "Brother, this is Sir Jordan. A hedge knight. Sir Jordan Ober, this is my Brother in Arms, Sir Daemon Dracone." Though usually Jeffeth has a bright smile when he makes introductions like this, his lips are pressed into the thin line. Jeffeth glances over as Arion approaches he offer a gentle smile. "You can join us here, sir. If you so choose." He is then looking back up to Jordan. "How can I help you, Sir Ober?"

Aleksei finishes off the last of his whiskey and finds a place to set it aside where the acolytes can take care of it. He offers a quick smile of farewell to those in the crowd he knows before making his way out of the park.

Aleksei has left the a serene stone bowl fountain with accented grooves.

Keso, a street urchin, Peanut, an oversized mastiff leave, following Aleksei.

"Thank you, Duchess. It is was good to see you, Lord... Prince," she smiles shyly to Ettore, moving a little closer to Brogan's side. The little fox smiles again to the others present, not seeming very talkative at the moment, and then the pair depart as quietly as they came.

Valencia has left the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Brogan has left the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Brogan leaves, following Valencia.

Esoka inclines her head in farewell to Aleksei. She seems tempted to head off as well, but lingers a bit. Approaching Marian, once the formal rememberances have concluded. "Princess Marian." Bow of her shoulders. "You look well. As well as any of us, at any rate. It's good to see you. I hope the people of the Redrains are recovering as well as they can."

"I'm now sworn to Ashford, actually," Jordan states to Jeffeth with a grin. "I told you something would come around. Still, I would be interested in learning more about what you do. Since, well, I'll be protecting a merchant caravan heading out from Arx and into the Crownlands in the future. On my own initiative. Do good deeds where you go, et cetera." He nods to Daemon as well. "Hello. I've been introduced, so that goes without saying." He says, in good humor.

"Remind me to thank the Gods you were not further along for it." Mydas remarks to Marian. He doesn't appear to be joking, either. But then he offers nods to those near him, and with that, takes his leave.

"Ah yes, Sir Jordan." Daemon straightens up to greet a fellow knight with a pound of his fist to his steel chest-plate. Honorable salute! Don't mind the fact that he spilled a bit of dairy in the mean-time by doing so. "I've seen my brother-in-arm's praises in his journals. It is good to finally see the man behind it. You do not disappoint on looks alone, certainly."

Mydas has left the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Belladonna offers a warm smile towards Thena, dipping her head and murmuring, "Of course, Grandmaster. It was the least I could do. But I will be sure to pass your kind words along to my husband. And thank you for allowing us the privilege of providing the wine." She glances briefly towards Mydas, murmuring, "And yes, belatedly, you should visit him soon. I think he rather misses having his family around. Not that he would ever say as much, of course. And he'll want to show off Valkieri's progress, no doubt. Proud papa that he is." She flickers a brief but sincere smile before looking back to Thena.

Marian gives a smile to Esoka, "I am doing well enough I suppose." She nods to the fallen grandmaster, "I have many like this to attend to. And I plan to be at every one to honor the fallen." She does look a bit tired though, "I just got back in from Farhaven and still feeling a little out of sorts." It's clear at this stage travel is not so easy for the princess.

Arion smiles warmly to Jeffeth at the offer, bowing his head low. "Thank you for the offer. It is most kind of you." He does indeed move to join them. "I am Arion Harrow. It is a pleasure to meet each of you." He smiles gently his expression seeming to soften his face further. He looks to Marian with a gentle gaze. "Your Highness, while I do not know all the details of what happened at Stormwall I do know battles are often unpredictable. You can be well prepared and give your best effort and sometimes you still wind up being caught off guard. Whatever happened I don't believe it was due to any failing on your part. You can take what happened and learn from it, but beating your self up about a past loss won't make it go away. Let the loss make you stronger instead. Learn from it." He smiles kindly to her as he seats himself and takes another sip of his drink.

Thena lifts a hand in farewell as Mydas-that-was leaves, lifts her wineglass in a little toast to Belladonna, then tilts her head at the now noticeably pregnant Marian with a lopsided little smile. "You are one tough lady, Princess. Begging pardon."

The big man arches his brow to Jordan. "We protect travelers pilgrims. Anyone who calls the road their bed we seek to protect." The big man proclaims, looking over to Daemon for support. He glances down at Daemon's spilled milk and mouths 'oops' before looking back to Jordan. "Well protecting a caravan, that is good on you, Sir Ober. Do you need assistance?" Jeffeth rumbles.

Marian gives a smile to Arion, "Thank you for your kind words." It's clear she appreciates his sentiment. She turns to Thena and laughs, "I am only as strong as those that serve under me." She gives a salute to Thena, "And I want to make sure you know I appreciate everything the Knights of Solace have done for House Redrain."

"I'll be fine this time around, but I'll definitely call upon the two of you in my next journey. I'll likely head to Redrain lands, next. See if something can't be done to bring food to those refugees from Stormwall," Jordan states to Jeffeth, magnanimously. He smiles to Daemon all the same, inclining his head to the man. "Thank you. You are quite dashing yourself, good Sir. Reflects well upon the Knights of Solace."

Giving a final nod to the hostess, Belladonna moves to take her leave quietly. She offers small smiles and nods in passing to those she knows along the way.

Belladonna is overheard praising Thena for: A wonderful memorial for a man who will be greatly missed.

Belladonna has left the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

5 Pravus Honor Guard, Aida leave, following Belladonna.

Daemon lets out a hearty chuckle at the fellow knight's praises. Three knights in one spot! Brotherly honor was oozing from this corner of the memorial service. "My brother details our services well. Solace's charge is to protect those who bring aid across the land, acting as a shield for the saviors. Healers, merchants, pilgrims. All who walk to fulfill the duties of the soul are our charge. Our duty. There is truly no finer work than to be a servant of Gild's charity."

Arion smiles to Marian in return inclining his head in a modest fashion. "You are most welcome Your Highness." He falls silent for a moment his gaze going over to Jeffeth, Daemon, and Jordan breifly. "Dashing? Who is dashing? Because if I have to pick just one of you to apply that word to I shall be faced with a terrible struggle." He lets his lips curl upwards into a faintly playful smile. He takes another drink from his cup eyeing the group with a slight sparkle to those bright green eyes.

"I know I've said it before, but it was an honor serving with you," Thena tells Marian with a warm flicker of a smile before she seems to overhear something and her dark gaze travels to where two of her Knights are gathered. Then she focuses on the Redrain princess again and says, tone touched with wry amusement, "I think I hear someone trying to send my soldiers on missions."

"Well then you better go attend to that," Marian tells Thena with a twinkle in her eye. She gives a polite nod to the others as she makes her own goodbyes and then takes her tired, pregnant body back home.

Esoka offers Marian a look of understanding at that. "The rebuilding will be hard. I hope I can help in small ways. Gods keep." One of those tired smiles is offered to Thena, after that. "This was nice, Thena. It was good to drink and remember Armel, and I think he would've liked it."

Marian has left the a stately wooden arbor with a gently curved arch adorned in climbing roses.

Ender, a Silver Gyrfalcon, Ursa leave, following Marian.

Thena barks a little laugh and nods, then salutes Marian solemnly. "Thank you for coming, and for speaking about him. His sacrifice will be remembered." She turns a smile to Esoka and rubs the back of her neck as Marian leaves. "Went better than I thought. Thanks. I thought he'd like it too, I hope I wasn't too far off."

Grinning broadly, the large man thumps his hand against Daemon's shoulder. "He's dashing. The picture of what a knight should be. With a single scar to show he means business." Jeffeth gives a light smile to his fellow Knight of Solace beisde him. He glances back to Arion smirking lightly. Then, to Jordan, "We would gladly do anything more we can to help the refugees." Jeffeth gives a light nod.

That smirk from Jeffeth causes a slight flush to bloom in Arion's pale skinned cheeks. He lowers his head just a bit, trying to discretely hide that subtle blush, trying to will it away before someone sees it. He finishes off his drink and glances aside to the trio of knights offering a soft almost bashful looking smile now.

"We'll speak soon, then," Jordan states to Jeffeth and Daemon, with a smile. "Hopefully we'll be able to get some donations so we have some more supplies than a small amount of money can provide, but I trust in Gild's grace." He inclines his head to Arion in greeting, though he is more than contained. Thena's first remark about enlisting her men for an endeavor has him grin over to the new Grandmaster.

"I'm sorry, I need to-" Thena substitutes further words to Esoka with a head-tilt in the direction of the Bunch o' Knights. "Come with?" Then, clutching her wineglass, she heads in that direction and pulls up next to Daemon. "Hello."
