I do. It comes not often enough for me, not without help.
It's no secret I'm different than what I was Before. I sometimes think the sleep just makes it worse, though I recognize myself in the irritability. The dogs, though, they know, they are sensitive to such things, as are horses and other creatures we depend on for protection and travel. When I am rattled and tired, they become affectionate, these silly pups. They lean into me, lick and sniff and cuddle. But they do not obey, either, when I am like this. It is frustrating.
But. I have kin and friends who help. Calm my mind with careful words and timid motions, like I am no longer the kennelmaster but a creature of a kennel. In that it works I do not mind.
I am off to try my bed again. Maybe it will be merciful.

Mother and Norwood are to be married soon. There are plans underway and I worry I am a nuisance more than a help. I have no idea what to wear to it. I have to fight the urge to hug Norwood every time I see him. He was always a part of the family, but now it's different. Now I feel more protective of him and Mother, because I know Mother loves him so. It's odd. More feelings to untangle and examine.

I look forward to calling him 'Papa Norwood'. It might even make him twitch.

Relationship Note on Derovai
I had three shots of the awfulness and didn't throw up once. The look of respect from this man didn't dull the agony of my insides then, or later, or the next morning, but I do have the admiration of at least three large Northern men.
Everyone should try it at least once. Unless you're with child, and then save it for after the baby is born. I'd hate to think what it would do to a growing bairn. Probably come out with a full set of teeth and an ingrained resentment towards its mother.

The beard I made from the wool was a great hit. Your frequent use of sandalwood lent a lovely smell to me that was enjoyed by my competitors. I owe you more than I can possibly repay.

"The hotter the brewing, the sweeter the ale."
I understand that it's a metaphor about love. It means that the more people go through together, the stronger the connection is, the connection in this case being 'love'.
But the question I have isn't about the meaning, but about the literal phrasing. To put it to the brewers that read the Whites:
Is this true? Does a hotter brewing making for a sweeter ale? Does it change the flavor profile at all if the temperature is different? Is this why ales purported to be brewed in the warmer months are plied with berries and fruits to enhance the sweetness? How does it work?
So far, I've had no definite answers. I'm still waiting.

Put it on the floor.
Try to hide from it.
Watch it scamper looking for you.
Or:
Find a clean old rag and put a good knot in it, or tie a bone in that knot. Let the puppy tug on one end, you tug on the other gently.
The purpose of the gift: to make you smile.
If it doesn't make you smile, you're using it wrong. Or maybe you're a cat person. No judgement.
