Frederik saw Prince Edain as a naive idealist at one point, but recent conversations regarding further plans has changed his mind. Frederik's unsure whether he's pleased the prince has started seeing things the way a realist had, or ashamed that the prince couldn't be protected from such things. Either way, my lord is loyal to His Highness. Like a dog, he'd say.

The Prince of Sanctum is interesting. One of the people I find on the interesting side. I rather enjoy the message exchanges. Not quite as tolerable as the Prince of Maelstrom, though.

Whatever reservations I had against the Prince of the Sanctum, he wished for me to leave them all in the center of the Shrine today so Gloria might judge us both. So I did. I took every little nagging thought I've ever had up to this point and I let it all go. It turned out much better for one of us, but I respect a man who refuses to fall even when all seems lost.
You have my respect, Dragon Lord. You and Marian both have given me new insights into a Valardin's way of things. It's still a bit too shiny for me, but it ain't so bad.

I'm not sure and it has been on my mind since reading the blasted thing. Edain, when we say cornhole, can I be sure we are talking of the same thing? This game and it's nuances sound very similar to something else - I just can't quite put my finger on it. Let's just highlight the commonalities: Eager and inexperienced players causing messes around holes, finishing in dramatic fashion. Why does it seem to elude me? It's on the tip of my tongue.

I was recently informed that Prince Edain was bemoaning about the suggestive names of Thraxian games while simultaneously declaring he was getting a group together for a vigorous cornholing. I nearly laughed my servant right out of the room, thinking that my good friend has finally declared his secret hedonism to the world (I, of course, have known all along), only to be informed that 'cornhole' is actually a game where you throw bags of corn into a hole. That sounds utterly boring, and utterly Valardin.
Of course, I am personally glad that Redrain keeps it real and doesn't do anything remotely as suggestive as the Valardin and Thrax apparently do. Now, please do excuse me while I get oiled up for another rousing round of bear wrestling.

I remember when I used to think of Edain as a young man. A young prince that lost his family, that was perhaps not ready to learn. And the truth is that he was young, but he has grown so very fast. I don't know if this was happening before or after Esera died. But while he remains a man of integrity, with deeply rooted values he protects and defends, he's grown into something else. He's become a very well versed leader, skillful and able to handle even the worst of situations. Impressing me is not an easy thing to do, and yet, the Prince of Valardin has done it.

I have never spared so long against an opponent or had so close a match! It's surprisingly easy to take up some fun banter with his Grace. It might not be current events, but I like that he appreciates the pranks I play on my brother. And that he's such a fine swordsman, I suppose that is worthy of note as well.

It has been about half a month since Prince Edain gave me Nora. The white dye in her fur has faded. She is not a Polar bear at all - oh the scandal! Nora has been returned to the black bear enclosure marked as some kind of scam. Beware in fake trades!
