Relationship Note on Margerie

I hope my mother is able to make it to the wedding, I know she is not feeling well. And while I wish her to be there, I also want her to be well, and to feel better. Just seems a shame that she might miss something, she has likely wished for since I was a child.

Relationship Note on Eirlys

Even though it has been some time since Eirlys' death, I still find moments of missing her. The sound of her laughter, the comfort of her hug, the brightness of her smile. And now as it gets closer to the time of my marriage, there is a touch of sorrow knowing she will not be there. And yet, I know that she will be, for all those that come into our lives and touch us, stay with us. Just wish I could find the necklace she gave me.

While others have returned with fosterlings, I seemed to have returned with the cutest little puppy. Hungry little thing she is too. But that will make training her fairly easy as she is motivated by food. She has the same sort of look about her that Amari's dog Barf does. Now, to find a fitting name for her.

Part of me is offended and deeply angry at how a child can treat a person they call mother or father, and then the other part of me hurts at the thought that the child has been left in such a manner to act like such. I can only hope that in time she will come to find that not everyone would just leave her, and that those that do care should be given respect for trying to make their life better. I know that she is in good hands, and that my step-father will treat her fairly and raise her right.

Relationship Note on Amari

I don't think I said it previously, or even enough, but thank you. Being able to confide in you, and have someone that understands is a blessing and a relief. And another voice to point out things that I have missed or overlooked. Thank you, Amari.

I don't say this enough, and I should say it more, I am so thankful for my family and friends. And feel very blessed to have them in my life, good or bad times, each one of them is a blessing.

Relationship Note on Norwood

Father, do not let Lord Braden's lack of respect for others, eat away at you. You are a good and just man, and you should not feel agony over having seen potential and wanting to foster it. Not all things turn out as we hoped for.

Lord Braden's actions are his own, and those that see that, know that it is not due to anyone but himself.

Instead, focus on the the things that you can do something about. For, none of us can change Lord Braden, but Lord Braden, himself.

Heading to Beesborough with Kedehern, Norwood, and Amari. Attempting to track down some information. I'm curious as to what the town will be like, considering it's name...

Relationship Note on Apollo

Apollo is back, and has so kindly been working on some new armor for me. I got the breastplate, and it is gorgeous. I am looking forward to seeing the other pieces of it, once Apollo is done with it all.

We were successful in stopping the siege upon the College of Agriculture. I am thankful that so many showed up to assist in stopping it. And wish to thank each and every one of them for doing so. Amari was grievously hurt during the battle, I was concerned when I had found her on the field. But I know that between Lady Olivia and Lord Rysen's assistance she will heal.

Hope comes in so many things. New friends, old friends, family, the welcoming of new life into this world, and the remembering of ones that have already left us. The color of a summer sunset. The smell of puppies. Yeah, so I'm weird and like the smell of puppies.

What I don't like is the smell of the kennels during the heat of the day, but no one wants to read about that.

A field of daisies growing wild and free. They are in many ways the perfect embodiment of hope. They look small and delicate, and yet they are exceptionally hearty, and tenacious, growing in the most unlikely places. Defiant against the world and determined to be free.

Relationship Note on Amari

Getting to show Amari the otterling kits at the Laurent Estate, was one of the highlights of this past week. Seeing the joy on her face, was the best gift one could be given.

Today I find myself missing Eirlys, wishing to just be able to speak to her about anything and everything. Perhaps I will wander over to the Valardin Manor, and see Fia. And play with little Eirlys some, too. Maybe even talk Alis into giving me some more riding lessons, or some linguistics lessons instead.

Relationship Note on Victus

Lamb and Goat are not the same creature or the same meat. A lamb is a sheep, specifically a baby sheep. Sheep meat is called mutton. And goat meat is just goat meat.

A Prayer for Spring Planting

Thyme, for Courage and Strength
Sage, for Wisdom
Rosemary, for Remembrance
Lavender, for Devotion
And last Daisy, for Hope
May each of them grow strong and spread the joyful smiles each one holds, and inspire those that see them, to remember that within each of us resides, a bit of Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, Lavender, and last, but certainly not least Daisy. And may we each carry them from here, like the wind, and birds, and the bees carry them, to share with the rest of Arx, and Arvum.

In dark times remember that together we are stronger, and our hope is one of our greatest strengths. When you see a daisy, remember you are not alone, hope grows in the least expected of places. Strong and Determined.
