Today has been a busy day, taking care of all the paperwork that piles up. But now that it is finished, I am going to enjoy a nice glass of wine by the fire, and ponder if I can come up with a poem.

I spent some time with Quintin, having a good discussion about research and the Hall of Heroes. I shall be quite interested to hear what he has to say after he visits the place.
In other news, I think I would like to have a child's party with Ryhalt and Clover, so that our children can get to know each other better. I wonder if we can manage that without too much fuss.

I was so late for the Grayson Ball that I ended up arriving at the after party. Which was a nice thing. I got to catch up a bit with some people I'd not spoken to in quite some time. I missed the crush of the actual party but got to hear Lou tell stories. She's very good at story telling.

Today's tea is a black tea, with peppermint and hints of vanilla and honey. I believe I may have been drinking a very similar blend when first I met Archscholar Sina.
And now, perhaps I shall spend some time reflecting on life, love, liberty and next steps.

Today's tea is a gentle jasmine flavour, from Weijin, I believe. It's a very subtle blend, flavourful and aromatic without being overwhelming.

I had tea with Marquessa Lianne Malespero the other day. We had some business to discuss and she provided me with a sample of one of her favourite teas. It was quite delicious, I am happy to report.
Alas, I did not get the name of the tea, so I might have difficulty getting more of it.

I had an unexpected breakfast with Princess Sabella yesterday. Or at least we had coffee together at Bold Espressions. It was good to have some company in the morning, and I quite enjoyed it.

Today's tea was an elderberry tea, with spices, honey and fruit and a hint of nuts. Very tasty and it goes well with ginger cake.

We had a good family and friends dinner this month. It was a lot of fun discussion and good food. The topic of a pet for me came up, and it was suggested that perhaps I ought to have a dog. It's a good thought, I suppose. A dog though. They shed, don't they? And drool?

Today's tea was a black tea, with a taste of coffee. It was better than I expected, surprisingly tasty. I would not have thought to merge those two drinks together in such a fashion.
I had a good conversation with Lord Mirk today, in the hall of heroes. No conclusions, but it was still a good discussion. I'm glad we had the chance to talk.

It is a time of uncertainty although I know we are all doing everything we can. I hope our activities will have improved our hopes in the impending war. It seems there is no way we can avoid the war, or at least no reasonable way. I suppose this just means we all must continue to work together to improve things, where and how we are able to do so.
The good news is that I do enjoy a challenge at times. The bad news is that this is a huge challenge.

Today's tea was a lovely ginger one, with honeyed fruit. Delicate, delicious and nicely piping hot on a cool autumn evening. It was made more delicious by virtue of drinking it in good company. Marquis Fairen stopped by to discuss a few things of interest, including research projects, children, and fashion.

Today's tea is a green tea, redolent with ginger and peppermint. You might think those things don't go well together, but they do.

Today's tea is coffee. From Westrock Reach. It is delicious, though admittedly not tea at all.
But it comes with ginger cake, and that is always a good thing if you ask me.
I did go out to the Badger Boardinghouse with Harlan. We met up with Sunaia and princess Sabella for some adult conversation and cider. It was a nice diversion from all the goings on about war, missing livestock and so on.
It's good to keep up with such things where we can.

Today's tea was a black tea, with lovely aromatic cocoa and nuts to delight the senses. I think maybe my brother sent this one to me, though I am not certain.
In other news Lady Emilie did not sleep well. Which means that I did not sleep well. Thankfully, her brothers slept, and so too did her father. She and I had some very good conversations about life, Arx, family and sleeping at night. I don't think it helped much.
