Relationship Note on Caelis
Lady Admiral Caelis Malvici is an amazing woman who I have become quite fond of these past several months. With the love of the sea deeply embedded within her as it is myself, and a willingness to change the world around us by sheer force of will, compassion and charm, I cannot help but wonder if she and I were sisters in a past life. We were able to share what was on our hearts as I am preparing for my wedding later this evening, and I am left all the more enamored with her.
Here is to hoping that our fates remain forever entwined, and Mangata continues to lay her blessings upon us, Caelis. We will need them in the days to come, if we're to accomplish all we desire for our people.

The party in the walled gardens of the Pravus Mansion was a brilliant success. It went far better than I could've ever dreamed of. I just hope all my guests enjoyed themselves as much as I did.

Treats them worse than cattle, like things - experiments... Remember that slavery requires one to be unwilling, taken without permission or choice. That is the fundamental of such an injustice. Not nobility willingly giving their time up for auction for a cause to help better the livelihood of those displaced from the siege.

It occured to me how foreign writing journals daily, to commit my thoughts to parchment and give tangibility to dreams, wishes, and hopes really are for me. Here in Arvum, the ability to read and write is like walking and talking - second nature to all, regardless of class, as it is such a deep-seeded reverent thing to do in worship of Vellichor.
In Eurus, the ability to read and write is a considered something of a luxury reserved for those of status and higher birth. The lower castes, it's far more common that they didn't possess the knowledge than did because the keeping of journals is not so integral to daily lives and worship.
It's a startling contrast amidst many, but yet one more difference that I adore about Arvum and it's culture.

Relationship Note on Alis
Alis and I don't get to spend nearly as much time as I'd like, especially now that she is to enter the next phase of her life as a married woman with Lord Fiachra very soon. It doesn't matter though, because she will always somehow manage to find time to check in on me when I least expect her to, or always know what I've been into with my studies and efforts around the city, no matter how small. She's truly like a sister to me, and Edain an elder brother I sorely lacked in my life.
