Relationship Note on Magpie
Took my first sailing trip! Never felt quite so free before. Despite a lot of folks worrying that I'd fall overboard or that sharks might eat me (yes that is directed at you, Kenna), I was safe and sound the entire time with Magpie sailing the ship.
I learned how to tie proper knots. Though I don't recommend doing it till your hands are raw, even if you are told to do it that way and maybe get a little stubborn about it. Magpie even let me climb up the ship's mast to the crow's nest. Was the best place to be on the ship if you ask me. Could see out really far! Had a much better view than on the top of the Iron Guard barracks too. I love climbing. Though next time I need to remember to bring a hat, so my nose doesn't sunburn.
Also, he gave me a really nicely made wooden rose too that made me very happy. It's one of the prettiest things I own.
Glad to be home, but I definitely look forward to sailing again. I'm glad that he let me tag along. So if you read this, Magpie, thank you!

I think the collective spider population of the barracks may revolt and chase Kenna and I out of the barracks soon. Time to move up to the roof and pester the birds instead. Now I just need to figure out how to keep Kenna off the roof.

Went to my first tea party. Never been to one before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had a notion from stories about them. I even wore a dress for it. Gotta admit that it wasn't like any stories that I've heard. Can't say I was a fan of tea before it and I'm still not after it, but the rest of it was entertaining. Interesting company too.

The chariot race was fun. On a positive note, I didn't get hit by any flaming, flying chariot wheels despite sitting on the front row. I was hoping Eleyna would win but it was still a good watch.
On the other hand watching that princess pinch Talen's cheek made my night. Funniest thing ever. Just had to record this one so I don't forget later.
And this doesn't count as me saying one more word, cause it's writing.

I got a habit of going back to the Tragedy. Don't talk much about it I s'pose but it's something I do because I wanna give those kids a fighting chance to do something good someday. So I picked up a few of them and we went to the park to get some play time in. Was bringing them back in time for supper when I busted in on the Legate playing games with a bunch of other kids.
I sure wasn't expecting that. (S'pose all the people standing around looking like big shiny brutes shoulda told me something was up, but we always got knights visiting us off and on when I was there, so I didn't really think much of it.) Dunno that I've felt quite that nervous meeting anyone before in my life! I mean, I go there a lot, but that's the first time that's ever happened. Took me by total surprise!
He's sure not what I expected. The kids liked him, so that's gotta say something good right? And, well, I gotta admit, he made me feel like I was interesting. Definitely wasn't expecting that!
Can't wait to tell Uncle Cal (and yeah Dame Thena, he's my uncle. I adopted him! No laughing this time!)

Met a bunch of people today. They seemed alright. Everyone wanted to spar me just because I'm Iron Guard. But why are they mostly the size of small mountains?
Anyway, I wasn't really there to spar, and by the time it was around to me I had to head out, so I didn't spar today. But I admit that with Dame Edelma... I'm looking forward to fighting her. She's my own size. Bet I'll learn something from her.
