For the longest time I wanted to become a mother. Something I had wished for and dreamed of. When I was sick, I didn't think it would ever happen. And now, here I am, a mother of two. Twins. A boy and a girl. I hope my mother comes by soon, to see them.

They had their first real outing the other night, when we went to Lady Mabelle's birthday party. Which was a lovely party, and it seemed as if everyone there was having a good time. And enjoying themselves and the fun game that Lady Mabelle had. Unfortunately, the babies got fussy and we had to return to the nursery.

I'm thinking I should perhaps stay away from others until the baby is born. I find I am far more grumpier then usual, and more emotionally charged. From crying more, to getting frustrated and upset far more easily. I am deeply sorry to anyone that I have been rude to, upset, or confused. Hopefully this will be over very soon. Any day now, says the midwife.

I'm very thankful for my family, they are always a source of support and love, and during times like now, I know I can count on them. In these coming days, weeks, months I pray that we will continue to stand strong together, to support one another, and face what is to come.

I am saddened to hear of the riots that have happened recently in the city due to the lack of food for those in need of it, as well as the merchants growing angry over the current state of our market and economy, due to the whirlpool in the harbor. And even further more to hear that peoples homes have been looted by thieves. I deeply hope we can find ways to overcome these issues together. I know that the Lodge of Petrichor has plans in the works to reach out and offer assistance and training, to help with the food shortage.

As to the centipedes, that is deeply worrisome.

Relationship Note on Kedehern

Less then a month away now, I will be happy to no longer be waddling, as my husband like's to call how I walk. Let it be known, I will get him back for saying I waddle. I think he will get permanent dipper duty, at the very least.

It looks like we will have three Mistward Labradors for the Artshall Livestock Auction. We will have two females, and one male, named Misty, Stormy, and Gunner.

Relationship Note on Mabelle

Sadly, it is very true, not all rabbits are cute and cuddly. Remind me next time I see you to share a story I had found about rabbits.

Relationship Note on Amari

Kedehern and I had a lovely dinner with Amari, it was great getting to spend time with her, just enjoying some good food, and company. Having a chance to reconnect some and just talk about things going on with all of us. And about the baby, and asking Amari if she would be the Witness for our baby. I'm so overjoyed that she agreed.

The new buildings in Mistward seem to have been completed now, including the Ironwood Keep. I should likely find builders here in Arx, to start work on the Fortier Manor house. I already have written down, some plans and ideas for it. Though, if I'm being honest, it is a bit too tedious for me. Perhaps I should find someone that enjoys decorating, and hire them to do it.

Relationship Note on Eirlys

It would seem we have about two more months to go, and then we can met the baby. We have names picked out, so we are prepared there. There are times it is hard, I miss Eirlys. I admit she would be my first choice for the baby's Witness. I know she would love them just as much as we would, and they would be family, no if, ands, or buts about it. I admit I would love to name the baby Eirlys, if we have a girl. But I think perhaps something with Eirlys in the name would be better, to honor her, but also to give the baby their own name. I pray that she or he will be as brave, compassionate, loyal, and kind as Eirlys was.

It's frustrating to think that you thought you were on the right path, and to find out you were wrong the whole time. I can't change that, all I can do is to find a new way, or a new path forward.

It seems the constant morning sickness has finally passed. The baby seems to be very active though, I think that is a good sign. We just passed six months not long ago.

We had a very busy but productive meeting the other evening, with family and friends. I have volunteered to lead a group to search for ruins. As well as looking forward to helping Mabelle with her Hospital project.

It seems I have lucked out and been able to find two breeding pairs for the Mistward Labradors. So I should have a two liters of them in about two months time. I'm looking forward to them, there will be so many puppies soon. And I have a planned litter of Keaton Shepherds as well, they will be sired by my and Kedehern's own dogs, Daegmund and Alix. Both have excellent dispositions, I expect their puppies will be the same, and make excellent companions and trained rescue and hunting dogs.

Mistward Labradors, I think that is what I will call the new dogs I am looking at breeding. They are rather large working dogs, around 22 to 30 inches tall at the shoulder. With an outer coat that is coarse and flat and has an oily, water-resistant quality that is perfectly suited to the dog's strong desire to be in the water. Their undercoat is soft and dense and requires daily brushing; they shed excess hair year round. They seem to come in a few varied colors; black, black with white, and brown with white splashes on the chest and tail tip. Personality wise, they are calm and docile in nature, extremely loyal working dogs, with a sweet temperament. I have found them to be easy to train, and wonderful with children, it was commented that they are sometimes referred to as nanny dogs. Oh, and they are excellent swimmers, their paws are webbed!

I'm rather excited at having found them and looking forward to breeding them!

I'll be very glad when the interest in this book dies, and people find something new to get all crazy about. In the meantime, maybe I should distract myself with some sort of Winter festival. Hot chocolate fountains, snowmen building, ice forts and snowball fights, and sledding all sound great.

I don't mind long trips on boats, it was not my first, but I need to bring more ginger next time.
