Relationship Note on Juliet

I was relieved to see that Juliet still cared for me after all the time that we spent apart. Connected in Tor through her family, we grew up together and became close. I care for her as something more than a friend, and I'm glad we still connect like we used to back home.

Relationship Note on Juliet

Another meeting with the Fidante.

Another discussion of the same. Hopeful futures and wishful outcomes. She has a certain....way of making the intangible might-be's sound very real, and present.

I'm not as hopeful as she is. But she did have one good point. It's far easier to deal with a person than it is a goddess.

Relationship Note on Juliet

My dear cousin, the Lady Juliet Fidante, is peerlessly kind and gentle. When the storm looms overhead, she's the vessel that helps many find the light and escape the swelling of the sea.

The lovely lady Juliet donated a great sum of silver the Festival of Commons. There will be ale and food for everyone. Thanks to her and Ms. Bethany.

Smarter than she looks, and she looks very damn good. A newfound appreciation for her above and beyond flirtation and good alcohol.

I've been trying to get a hold of this southerner for weeks now. Finally get around to exchanging messengers with the lady, and I have to say I already think those that recommended me to her certainly seem to be on point.

proper fucking on point.

Relationship Note on Juliet

She's an absolute joy to have around. And I have not seen someone take to handing a child as well as she did. I should thank her, I feel like if it was not for her timely arrival and swooped in to help a child that might've started crying, I would've had my hands full.

It was good to simply, talk. Not about world shaking events or dark terrors on the horizon. Just talking. It was a massive relief to me.

Should do that more often, I think. Her stories are colorful, to say the least. I think she'll make a wonderful unofficial aunt to Safi.

Sketch. A mirror hung in the high branches of a tree, and it's an especially branchy tree. Variety of branches, knotty, loose, brittle, stretched. In the main, the shape is graceful, but the sheer complexity and conflict of the branches is eyecatching in a way not altogether comfortable. The dense root system mirrors the branches. Despite the oddness of the sketch, it's lit comfortably, warmly.

Relationship Note on Juliet

The cousin of my friend Prospero, this young lady apparently has something of a reputation behind her. But it would be a rather short-sighted Pravus who took gossip as truth: for myself, I have found the young lady of Fidante to be nothing but amiable and persistently pleasant company. She even turns out to have something of a scholarly bent, which has proved a welcome surprise. And now, she has founded a salon, to which I have been invited. How well an ink-stained and aging widow might be received by others, I do not know. But I have hopes of at least marginally expanding my social circle within Arx.

Relationship Note on Juliet

There are few quiet as lovely as Lady Juliet Fidante. She has a remarkable way to remind a person of the bright and beautiful things in the world. Certainly she is a woman that knows precisely what she wants, and I find it an admirable trait. And she is a highly valued guest of the Grotto.

Relationship Note on Juliet

I have never had a sister of the blood. In fact, I would caution to say that I might not have many true friends. It is the manner of politics. This is one that I consider more than a friend, but a sister. I wish nothing but good things in her life for her. I know that her heart will find where it needs to be and that the person it finds should consider themselves lucky beyond words.

Relationship Note on Juliet

She has supported me so much. The Rose of Tor, she has styled herself. She seems to live and breathe scandal, and thrive on it. She is so very dear. She, and the Princess like her, have much in common, when I went to pay my respects to the late Baron.

I don't think they can steal me from my Baron. I admit to not quite knowing the laws on this, but I think it might be illegal

Relationship Note on Juliet

It is not very often at all that someone manages to catch me off guard. I admit that I was not at my best when we met; it has certainly been a trying few weeks. Still, she seems reasonably entertaining, and I do not object to her company. Once we had both calmed ourselves, I certainly enjoyed her conversation. I suspect that if she were not Duke Fidante's cousin, I would've found her offer much more tempting.

Relationship Note on Juliet

Women of the Lyceum all fall upon a spectrum, especially those without the responsibility of leadership. We tend to be... freer with our indulgences, and our desire to experience life in the fullest.

I am never not in wonder when I find myself on a more -conservative- end of such a measure. Well, conservative for Lycene women. I'm certain 'hedonist' would be the politest descriptor outside the Hundred Cities. But gracious, do I admire the variety of flavors within the cities, and now here in Arx.

Lady Juliet is a fascinating creature. I'll be interested to watch where her path leads.

Relationship Note on Juliet

Ah, both the rose and the scandal. I believe that she loves both of these things. While she laid her confession at my feet, it was not a thing to truly feel guilt over. She amuses me and I have come to enjoy our conversations; when life is not pulling at us and people not calling our time away. Lady of Roses and Lady of Scandal, I believe she is what one thinks when they think of her people.

Relationship Note on Juliet

Lady Juliet Fidante, understanding I train both animals and people in better handling of such, asked for instruction. I was only too pleased to help, explaining and demonstrating how a falcon is directed with hand movements and food.

She seemed to find it all very amusing.

I didn't even know you could turn flower petals into a food.
