A good week with new people met and new plans made. I am going to help ELora with her investigation into the family tragedy and maybe look into buying a ship. Nothing of huge moment, but interesting developments anyway.

The Lady Whitehawk intriduced me to Lord Mirk Halfshav. I am still occasionally surprised at the broad range of people I find in Arx. An interesting and helpful man who bridges my home and past with this new leg of my life journey. Has me thinking deeply about many things both compare and contrasted between the two.

A visit with friends went well this week. I don't get out enough. I am thinking about investing in a ship, which is more a new thought that a way of getting out, although it will certainly accomplish that as well! Might be fun to do a little trading, maybe test a pirate or two and see if they are all that tough! I think city life might be getting a little slow for me, even with Rosa churning up the streets.

I am getting married to Elora Whitehawk. I landed in Ark barely knowing anyone and met her on a turn of fortune, a twist of Chance, and now I am getting married. I am amazed at the way life works. It was a happy twist, though, and we have become friends as well as falling in love. She is a light that brightens every corner of my life.

Birthday party this week, thanks to Aella. I did not tell anyone, but I totally forgot it was due or even how old I am (We are)! We did enjoy, though, and I am not as old as I feared even if Rosa seems to think we are ageless. Maybe she is right! ELora Whitehawk came as my friend and she seemed to enjoy, too. She has a fine touch with the animals that seems to work on me as well.

Lade Whitehawk and I did a refreshing hike together not long ago, out in the Grey Forest. It was nice to be in the woods again, out of town and surrounded by wildlife. I am glad we went although it was touch to come back in a way. We will need to do it mroe often! We spoke of the possibility of doing a sea trip and that led to a talk about getting one of Arx's new sloops someday. Silly talk, but it might be nice to captain such a vessel, maybe set up a regular trade route. Or not...just thoughts.

Arx is not so bad today! Having had a nice dinner with family and new friends, plus having enjoyed some hours with Lady Whitehawk and her raptors, I am finding the city tolerable. It really isn't all about ten layers of fancy clothes and long hours of endless gossip after all. I am learning new things and opening up possibilities that will make life more exciting.

I am doing more socializing. Sort of. A dinner, watching Lady Whitehawk's hawk contest, getting out a little. I have discovered I am not even as frilly as I thought I was when compared to those aroind me, which is kind of satisfying for me but has me amazed by how varied the city's nobility can be! Lord Mattheu wears countless bells to honor the wind! I am almost curious to see what new visions Arx will bring me as I become an active socialite.

I will be doing some meeting of new people and hopefully learning more about my heritgage soon. I have an opportunity to benefit from Lady Whitehawk's contacts and knowledge in this regard, maybe cramming some history into my poor head. I have been spending a lot of time with Elora and I am enjoying this with or without this new opportunity. Arx is definitely less alien with company.

I am getting some sealegs under me in Arx...or maybe landlegs is more to the point. The Lady Whitehawk is proving a good source of guidance and, of course, Rosa is endless news and Cadern is more moderate but equally knowledgable. I think there are still many experiences to surprise me, but I seem to have plenty of friends and family to help keep me from treading too heavily on anyone's feelings.

The Lady Whitehawk is kindly showing me some of Arx and Rosa is always ready for more adventure, so now I am more needing to be organized than I am looking for things to do. There is nothing urgent needing my time, but I am still managing to get some exercise and learn the lay of the land. I think I will eventually be wanting more productive tasks in my day, but for now this suffices quit nicely.

I am settling in, I guess, thanks to the family and Lady Whitehawk. Adjustments and all. I guess it is not so bad so far, but I am looking forward to a long ride outside the walls. It is just about having to get in some quieter time with fresh air, not really about any complaints related to Arx. It is a city. A big one. Very busy and productive and with much to see. A little down time in the woods will help me adjust.

So, my first week back was not all that bad despite being stuck in the middle of the frilly city. I met a lady named Elora who is quite friendly and has helped me pass some of the time pleasantly. Rosa practically tackled the van, which was funny, but she does seem to have been through some rough times since we were last together and I really do need to sit down and find out what happened. She is as beautiful as ever to me, but she does look like she has taken a beating. I can only imagine what the other guy must look like...

Back in Arx. Already miss the sea, but here I am. Need to check up on people and find out which gossip and rumors are wasting my damn time more than other gossip and rumors. Rosa will know, even if it does mean she's gonna get me in more trouble. Can't wait!

I think I am getting more used to things in Arx. It seems the more I encounter, the more impressed I become with some of the warriors here. Perhaps this stay won't be as dull as I thought.

Relationship Note on Felicia
Arx, there seems to be many 'frill' covered people. Felicia isn't one of them. She hit me so hard I could feel my bones rattle. Call this man very impressed. Perhaps there is a hard edge to Arx after all.

Finally made it here to the city... Not what I expected. Everything is so.... frilly. The chairs are frilly, the tables are frilly, the warriors are frilly. Suppose that is something I just can ignore. I am not wearing of that though. Regardless, everyone seems friendly in Arx, which I wouldn't care if they weren't I suppose. I gotta remember that I am here to support my sister and her endeavours. She says that this is for the good for everyone that we are here, she is usually has a keen mind this so I am sure she is right.
