My prayers go with Mother Bianca to the north. I pray not just for her, but for our errant brothers and sisters to understand the hurt and division they cause, and to return to their oaths in obedience to the Dominus and the Faith. Gloria commands that we never harm the innocents, but also that we must act with honour. This includes honouring our oaths, sworn under the gaze of Limerance. In taking these actions, this heresy makes an active choice to break those oaths, and having taken that active choice towards rebellion, are no longer innocent. Yet. I still hope they might see sense, might return. For I find no joy in the prospect of riding north to bring them to obedience with the force of the Templars.

Relationship Note on Bianca
Legate Bianca led a heartening ceremony for the band I'll venture into the Caves with. It was a stirring rite and my thanks go out to Mother Bianca, Mother Cassandra, and Mother Mercy Sophie - who I learned will be our shellbearer and healer in the Caves - for their words and deeds in service to Mangata. I'm still not certain what a shellbearer is, but I had to leave before I could ask.

I am ever grateful for the wisdom and guidance provided by Archlector Bianca. How she cut through the Lycene knot of my thoughts, and provided practical advice at the moment it was most needed. I nearly feel guilty taking her away from her dinner with Count Duarte, but perchance both shall forgive me.

Originally having sought out the Archscholar for a specific reason, what went from a fairly short discussion has grown into frequent, lengthy talks about the nature of many things. Her wisdom and intelligence and breadth of knowledge are astounding, and I have learned more from her in a short time than I have in years. So much that was muddled or confusing is now illuminated with utter clarity, and her method of making me consider not only my choices, but also how to better understand myself, is no small feat. I am honored to consider her a friend, and easily the most inspirational person I happen to know in Arx.

In retrospect, I really must give praise to Archscholar Bianca for her punctuality, invaluable insight and patience. We met earlier to discuss at the Tea Shop in the Valardin Ward to discuss business and I was rather delighted to share in her company and absolutely thrilled for the information she provided me with at the meeting.

As there appears to have been some confusion earlier in the week about which Archlector and which god holds sway and right of say in who may have access to and serve the gods through recording their thoughts, dreams, hopes, fears, and ambitions in these journals, I was thankful that Blessed Bianca Wyrmguard, the Archscholar of Vellichor, who is the god of histories and knowledge, put the matter to rest. The confusion for some may be understandable, as the black books are also called Reflections, but that does not place them under the purview of any god or goddess except Vellichor.

This feels like a subtle scolding of everyone for their bickering over the whites. If it is, then I love it. If the future generations are to learn from the past, then gods help them if they are forced to use our white journals as historical records. And gods help the scholars who have to shift through thousands of pages of utter bullshit to find the one kernel of knowledge contained within.

Relationship Note on Bianca
The Archscholar of Vellichor is always a source of wisdom, every time I speak with her. That should come as no surprise, given the nature of her position. But her meditations on knowledge in the journals and discussions on theology in person always leave me with insight that I did not have before.
(And though it is not most politic to say so, I note the archscholar was a Wyrmguard. Is it any surprise that a Telmar vassal house produces such a fine theologian?)

Cousin, your pen brought a knot to my throat and mist to my eyes. Thank you. Thank you for sharing that story. It is so clear why you were chosen as Archscholar as you exemplify the wisdom of Vellichor. Knowledge shared, especially the hard truths that are carved into us by pain... it is a blessed thing to share. And I for one am grateful to have read it.

Although I'll never understand who someone can deal with certain types of things on a daily basis, I applaud those that can. One of which is Bianca. Thanks to you I have some answers and a place to go next. You have no idea the amount of appreciation that I have for that simple fact. I hope that we can continue to work together on task and come to a conclusion.
