I've gotten behind a bit on my usual visits to all the shrines, but it is mostly because I spent up spending too much time reflecting in the Shrine of the Thirteenth and that of Mangata and getting distracted with having to deal with more than the usual paperwork. Thank goodness for Mistress Josephine dealing with some of the numbers for me.

Stewardship is helpful. Now I'm starting to learn who to ask things of without annoying half a dozen others futilely. Turns out to be a bit of a time saver. Now I can actually settle down and enjoy music and a glass of wine for a while.

Word reached me from Saikland that some of the measures we have taken, some of the things we have found out, procedures we started following have at last enabled our farmers to start reclaiming the land and not driven away from their fields by some of the animals terrifying them. We have much for which to be thankful.

It was nice to get to talk with my young cousin while enjoying the views of the Hall of Heroes. So much to be learned there, I'll never remember it all so know how overwhelming it can seem at times. As for my cousin, may what you learn bring you more joy than sorrow. That is my hope for you.

A gift from Juliana always has a bit of the unexpected about it. This one sent me at the onset of spring is a marble statue of Doc with a chick perched on his head. Such an surprise! I recognize the workmanship of Lord Sebastian in the exquisite way the detail has been captured. I had it placed in the spot he used to lounge up in the den in the site where he first received the gift of all those fowl. Thank you.

Hours at the ledgers today sorting through accounts. Three little silvers were misplaced, three! Just three but the ledger would not balance and numbers did not add up and had to double check everything with receipts and bills. Finally the error was tracked down. A smeared, messily written number 5 on one receipt (from where Saik stood rounds at a tavern) looked like the number 8.
