I've been training lately, and for good cause. There are a number of expeditions upcoming, led by others, and one of my own. And, in case I should perish on one of them, I've commissioned a lovely surprise for my family, crafted by the inestimably talented Master Jayeth Black. I can't wait to unveil it for them. Marius will surely be entirely speechless. I think it will go in the center of the hedgemaze. That seems fitting.

Some people could use lessons on how to properly steal something. I'm happy to provide them such lessons! It's almost a pity the Iron Guard are so good at their job but I suppose, fortunate in the long run that they are.

The Gilded Page has added more copies of Mistress Mae Grayhope's excellent tome, 'A HARLEQUIN'S TALE: QUEEN TRISCALI THE BOLD'!
These will hopefully last longer, as a drawing of Princess Alarissa's likeness has been posted next to them, and instructions not to sell her any more of them have been given to the store assistants. Four copies are enough, one might think!

I'm proud of my family. Unbroken and unconquered.
Cullen shone so brightly tonight as he received Niamh's sword. I think she would have been pleased. He is a fierce warrior, as she was, and he will honor Greenmarch. I know it.
Simone was the epitome of a perfect co-host. She filled the shoes I did not think could be filled, and she did so with poise and charm and grace.
Marius. Well, he was Marius. I love him dearly.
I wish to record these words, so that I may look back on them and remember:

Cullen's sword ceremony is coming up! I'm particularly looking forward to the games after. How well can you fight with a fish or a feather? And the prizes! I love giving out prizes. Oh, not to mention the Book of sword lore I've made as a favor especially for this event.

I take back every negative thing I have ever said about Marian. Ever. She's not bossy or scary and I wouldn't trade her away for all the silver in the world. She's perfect. She's the most wonderful older sister one could possibly have. I promise I'll never tell another embarrassing story about her ever again. At least for a year.

Relationship Note on Marian
Let me tell you a story, Scholar, about the one and only time I have seen my sister blush.
She was 12, I think, and his name was Sir Davin. He was the most glorious of wandering knights, with hair of tawny perfection and a body you'd have had to be dead not to appreciate.
Someone (I really couldn't say who it was that would do such a thing) let slip that the beautiful Sir Davin bathed entirely naked in the river running just outside Greenhaven at the same time every morning. That same someone (again, identity unknown to me) was on hand the very next morning to catch Marian Greenmarch in the underbrush along the river, and she wasn't looking for grubs, I'll tell you that much!
Someone (horrible person) thought it might be prudent to alert the unsuspecting paragon, Sir Davin, of Marian's presence by tossing large rocks at the brush.
Scholar, when she stumbled out of those bushes to confront the naked knight, her cheeks were brighter than her hair. It was glorious. Well worth the beating someone got later that day for being the worst little sister ever to walk the land.

Dame Felicia was gracious enough to walk me home from the Lycene affair. I daresay I was the envy of many at that party, for winning so many blessed moments in her company. Strong and confident, but with the most charming blush I've yet to see. She reminds me of someone... someone legendary.
