Lady Liliana is awesome. I have armour. I am shocked to have armour in that I would never ever have thought I would, but I do. It is beautiful and hopefully very effective at protecting me. As it's supposed to.

Eclipse of Mirrors.
That is a holiday I have not often celebrated. I am not certain if I will do so again, but I am certain that the Mirrormasks and House Velenosa put on a very good party. The Masquerade was a lot of fun and I am fairly certain it was not just because of my date.

One day at a time, and still things move along. The water jousting hosted by House Thrax and Princess-Consort Alarissa was a lot of fun to watch, and I am glad I went. It definitely did not involve me shucking oysters though. This is good, because I don't think I could top the last time.

A quiet day, spent thinking and enjoying some quiet time. Followed by a fun discussion with my cousin Alban and Lady Liliana. The swinging was much appreciated, it is always lovely to have someone to push the swing while we are enjoying relaxing on it.

I am not reading all the journals about current events. It's a mess, it's clearly a mess, and I have no clue about those involved really. So it's not my place to put forth my opinion.
I actually came to write in my journal about the Grotto and meeting some very lovely and friendly people there. I am looking forward to getting to know them better in future.

The Golden Hart has a fabulous garden and Princess Valencia is a hostess worthy of all the superlatives one can imagine. The food is exquisite, the drinks delicious, the music more than danceable.
In other words, I do believe that everyone's morale was quite raised by the dance. Or maybe by the midnight swim afterwords.

I had a wonderful discussion with Princess Valencia, Lady Kenna and Duke Harlan yesterday. It was all about hope, bringing hope, and reasons for fighting - life, love, happiness, freedom, helping others for those things. Yes, yes, I'm paraphrasing, badly, and it is a very high level summary. I know.
I'm not looking for commentary here, just noting that it brought quite a few thoughts, most of them wonderful.
And I believe there will be a "come together" party at the Hart, which also makes me happy.

I went to watch the duel between Champions Aleksei and Salvatore. I was glad to be there on time, as it was a surprisingly short fight. I think even they were startled by the end of it. It was good to watch the people and the champions, as I haven't been out at such events for a little while.
I've been very contemplative the past little while, thinking about life, marriage, children, and a few other thoughts that came to mind. I reached absolutely no conclusions, mind you, but that hasn't stopped me from thinking.

That was an intriguing conversation. I apologize for not naming names, but really, there is no need. Only it's been suggested that should I wear Lycene garb, I should go all the way. And if I am going to do so, I should speak to someone Lycene first.

Did I mention, by the way, that the first person to comment on my dress was my sister? Elsbetta, the quiet one. Yes, she's my only sister, but still. She is such a sweetheart and I sometimes feel I should be protecting her, even though she's older than I am.
