It has been a wonderful first couple weeks after getting married. We might not have made it out to as many social gatherings as perhaps we ought to have, but it has been and will continue to be a period of adjustment for us. I expect there will be times like these, indeed. It is nice to have so much going on, it distracts me from other things.
Which reminds me, there are friends I have not seen in far too long. I should do something about that.

I attended the Assembly of Peers, and I am glad I did. It was inspiring. I hope to continue my own personal donations to help free those in need, in a much faster way than I was originally expecting.
Yes, I was hoping to continue forward, after the children - this may not come as a surprise to those who know me.
I am really glad to be able to support such an initiative and to help make it a success.

I am rather disappointed I did not make it to the wedding party. Not my own of course, but the Malvici-Volkov wedding. I am certain that Lady Aahana was beautiful and Lord Domonico handsome and that it was a great event. Alas, duty kept me from attending.
I made a brief appearance at Lord Maru's birthday, and brought Lady Olivia back home to rest. Which she needed, poor dear. I hope her day of social activity did not wear her out too much. This was also a fun social event, and I got to meet some new and interesting people, including Lady Ilmia Leary. I do hope I get to spend more time with friends, new and old.
Oh. And I should mention I climbed a tree. Only one, and I needed some help to get up to the tree house, when I inadvertently looked down. For a few moments, I was somewhat frightened that I would fall. But I didn't, and spent some time in the tree house chatting with Lady Olivia before we engaged some of the servants to bring a ladder.

It seems strange to be living in a different house in Arx. It's so far from my favourite coffee house. And the tea house too.
I heard that Lady Tessa Moore somehow died. It sounds very scary and I'm a bit worried about going out of the city now. Even if there are folks making it safer outside the city. I wonder if that will work?
I have been having a lot of interesting conversations with people here and there, about all the things going on. There is so much going on, it feels incredibly busy. I think I am behind on returning messages!

That was a very exciting and exhilarating day, and now I am a married woman. With a new family.
Having two families feels that it is a good thing - I have been welcomed to my new family with open arms, and the warmth and friendliness is very much appreciated.
It is an interesting thing to discover more about Westrock Reach at nearly the same time as it helps me to feel that i am not leaving them behind, but rather adding more to be thankful for.

My sister Elsbetta is very sweet. She held a pre-wedding picnic for me, which was a lot of fun. I learned something about a red dress I never knew before, and we talked about Mistress Petal's magnificent skill in creating dresses. We also may have had a bit too much to drink, which I think is only to be expected.
My soon to be sister, Olivia, is adorable. I am very glad to be getting to know her better, and I must admit I thought of her presence before answering the question of what I would do first after marriage.
Well, the answer is obvious, is it not?

The Kismet Carnival was a lot of fun. It was interesting to try the games, even if I had no moments of inspiration or luck at them. The drinks were good and the company was better.
Master Venturo has outdone himself. I am not sure how he will ever top that.

I had a lovely tea with Lady Jan and Lady Olivia, with a cameo by my sister and Master Cedric the other day. It was quite interesting and entertaining to sit, enjoy a brief respite and enjoy a few moments of ease.
Which led me afterwards to consider how many out there never get that same joy?
I believe that freedom is important and that all deserve the freedom to choose. And so I have started to help, by giving resources weekly, whatever I can. I have set myself a minimum goal, and if I can give more than that, then I do. But at the least, the minimum is there. It's something to do to end the condition for the Thrall children earlier than it might other be. One by one. It may not be fast enough, I don't know if it can ever be fast enough, but at least it is something to help.

I missed the ball yesterday, but I did get work done. i suppose there are positives and negatives to everything. I am still studying, hoping to learn some new language, but having trouble deciding which. And who to ask for lessons.
Otherwise, it's been quiet this week for me. That may be a good thing, but I am a bit worried as to what I may have missed.

Yesterday at Bold Espressions, there were good drinks, good treats and good company. I did get something to worry about from Lady Amari, with respect to marriage that I had not thought of before.
