My friend Thena of the Knights of Solace has become DAME Thena. I wish to enter my congratulations here for posterity in Vellichor's records. She's a woman of courage, dedication, and admirable faith, and I'm sure she'll be a credit to the knighthood. I'm often unsure how to feel about my own title. It felt heavy when I was given it, and I still think I wear it oddly. It warms my heart to see it bestowed on someone so deserving, though.

Thena Grayhope is a soon to be Knight who does not seek the limelight, but in my brief time as a Knight I will say that is a common mark among the best Knights I know. And yet when deeds of bravery are done or leadership is needed then I think she will carry herself with honor and dignity, that those who look to her may be inspired to the best of chivalry, honor, valor, and justice. Which is about as good an impression as a soon to be Knight can make, in truth. May she always stick to those ideals.

Thena Grayhope is a terrible guard. Just absolutely one of the worst ones that I've ever had to train. She's lucky I didn't toss her over the walls during the siege or leave her in the tunnels with the rats.
That aside, she has my unwavering loyalty and support. I am convinced that she will flourish in her new role under Grandmaster Armel's tutelage. And if she thinks for one second that she'll see less of me after leaving the guard, she is sorely mistaken. I'm like one of those rashes that you just can't get to go away.
