Bold, daring, beautiful, and utterly mad - these are but a few of the many facets of my dear confidant and companion. I could wax poetic about her many charms for an eternity, but such a litany would only pale in comparison to even the reflection of the living legend herself.
To be counted among Viviana's friends is to be touched by fortune's own hand. Her loyalty is fierce, her generosity boundless, and her cunning unparalleled. Yet, woe betide those who find themselves on the wrong side of her mercurial mischief - they're fucked. Poetically, of course.

I distinctly disagree. When you're royal and have had your home city sacked and overrun with demons, I think you might have a different perspective on that as well.
It's hard to have hope when you do not know if you'll get your home back.
It's hard to have hope when you're not sure if your sister, your mother, your aunts, uncles, and cousins are still alive.
It's hard to have hope that you'll ever be able to go back home to visit your favorite child haunts.
It's hard to have hope when it is all being defiled and desecrated by those who who just want to see all of humanity gone.
I try. I do.
I found myself sitting in the Hall of Heroes before the Grayson fealty dinner last night, trying to discern how Copper was able to do it for over a thousand years, and also safeguard us all at the same time.
I didn't come up with any good answers to my ponderings.
It's hard to have hope when you do not know if you'll get your home back.

I'd hazard to say that in my experience, indifference is a crime of nature, but hardly the worst of them. Willful malice and wanton cruelty go much further toward achieving their ends than indifference by its very meaning. We're not meant to be creatures of stagnation.

I like the idea of aggressive gift giving. It does not work well when the gift is a bottle of wine, as my gifts so often are. However, I think this fits well into my general belief that sometimes nice things should be done as surprisingly as possible to brighten someone's day.
