On the qualities of mercy

The Faith notes with disdain the attack on a ship of the Mercies during the recent battles in the Mourning Isles. The Mercies work is protected by the Knights of Solace and the Sanctuary of Silver. We are sure that the issue will be investigated by Solace and the Mercies and appropriate sanction levied. Perhaps there was confusion, let there be none after this point.
The Mercies of Lagoma operate under the protection of the Gods in their duties to heal. This protection takes manifest form via the Knights of Solace, and it takes further form in the Faith as Holy Church. Our traditions will be respected, the Gods will be respected and the Mercies will be respected.
Any further military action taken against a ship of the Mercies will carry with it automatic ban of excommunication. More than that, the Faith reminds the warring houses of the history of our people. When Crownbreaker erupted, the Faith took no side. The Faith is above the fights of men. When Darius Vowbreaker took action against the Faith in Arx, a crusade was launched and the blade at my very hip struck him a mortal blow. We seek to honour tradition and our history.&R&RD\No party in this civil strife should force us to repeat it.
