The Legacy of Boofus the Bold

Posted by Malcolm on 07/28/21
On this day, the twelfth month, the second day, on a year that's way after the Reckoning--

To honor the legacy of one of Graypeak's greatest heroes and explorers, Boofus the Bold, on this day I (as Duke) have decided to knight all Graypeak Mountain Dogs, from now until my heir takes the seat. The legacy of Boofus the Bold has created this honor guard of dogs that are companions and champions to any that are allies of Shepherd. For dutiful service during ruff times, for unconditional love and paws-itivity, and for being good dogs. As far-fetched as it seems, the following virtues inherent in Graypeak Mountain Dogs are those that align with true knights and should be upheld by all.

None are more loyal.

By my hand,

Duke Malcolm Shepherd
Ruler of Graypeak.

--- Blackshore Stance via Romulius ---
House Blackshore condemns such a flagrant profaning of the institution of knighthood and wishes the Duke Shepherd a swift recovery from whatever malady is ailing him.

--- Mirrormask Stance via Giada ---
His Shrine commends the Duke on what we can only pray was his attempt at levity in such a solemn time but suggests a statue instead of knighthood.

--- Keaton Stance via Kael ---
While House Keaton praises loyal canines, and hold their own hounds in high esteem, they frown on such an act.

--- Clement Stance via Norwood ---
What.

--- Seraceni Stance via Ophira ---
While there are many admirable traits to be found in many a beast - perhaps this fantasy of knightly hounds would have been better written in the whites. Though, I am curious, what would be your stance on pardoning cats accused of piracy? What a silly notion.

--- Physicians Stance via Eirene ---
The Duke's humors (bodily fluids, not sense of) are likely misaligned, and we offer our services in balancing them should he require them. We have some lovely leeches available.

--- Templars Stance via Preston ---
I understand our love of pets. I understand the respect for Petrichor's creatures. I also understand the ideal given cheaply is one many aspired to at Pieros, one they died for. Sadly for the Duke, I have never found understanding a salve for righteous anger.
