Our Answer

The unspeakable has happened. These apostates have risen, and claiming to seek to purify the Church, they have struck against the Most Holy. Orazio, Closest to the Gods, is returned to the Wheel and the arms of the Queen of Endings. The Grand Cathedral of Arx is black with smoke and ash, and our hearts are black, too, with grief and rage. But the gods themselves denied these assaulters, these murderers, these blasphemers. The bones of our church still stand and the rains fell from the sky to drown the flames there. The gods denied them.
And so do I.
For they spilled our blood, they destroyed our church, they spoke insipid falsehoods in the pretense of truth, raising up some false prophet, some false liar, and they have paid in blood.
These men who follow Ivan Helianthus ape some false measure of tradition, but they speak only treachery and lies. They call for war on our most sacred principles and they spill blood upon holy ground.
And to that treachery, we will answer. We will answer with fire and with blood.
The Sentinel will see justice done for Dominus Orazio, and so will I.
