The Murder of Marquis Duncan Hawkmour

Citizens of the Compact,
It is my most bitter regret to confirm the rumors of my husband's shocking murder.
In his studious ways, he was mistakenly perceived as an easy target and was taken from us in the zenith of his life by the Platinum Empire.
His assassin was taken into custody, questioned, and was sentenced the Damnation of the Beasts; tied to a wild bull and dragged through the streets of Brassfall until dead.
Hopefully our message is clear. We do not tolerate the presence of the Platinum Empire on Hawkmour Territories. Further, sightings of any Platinum Banners, any ships bearing their sigil, or any further emissaries found in our lands or waters will be treated as a Threat. As an act of War.
Brassfall will remember 1/11/1011. We will stand by those Houses ready to make a stance against these foriegn invaders.
