The Murder & Memory of Count Karadoc

Posted by Sabine on 07/21/19
Count-Consort Karadoc Tessere was murdered in the midst of his family, taking a knife to his heart while shielding the life of an innocent child. His soul is with Death now, returned to the Wheel. Iriscal grieves the loss of its Count. I grieve the loss of my husband, and for our child who will never meet its father.

I had his murderer thrown to hungry sharks.

I expect his soul is also with Death, though one prays the Sentinel has a moment alone with him along the way.

The murderer's co-conspirators are in my custody until such time as I am satisfied with their interrogation and have a suitable execution arranged. Justice will be swift and it will be thorough.

In memory of the Count, Tessere has instructed its clerks to dispense sufficient silver through the inns and taverns within the city, that each soul may stand to one drink. Raise your glass to my husband-- he enjoyed brandy-- and speak his name for me. I would have a chorus raised to the heavens in honour of a man who helped lift his county, who ensured the next generation of my people, and who died a hero.

By my hand on this day,
Sabine Tessere
Countess of Iriscal
