Hold on to Hope

People of Arx --
These are uneasy times, there is no question. Things many of you once thought only myth are stirring, and the troubles ahead may sometimes seem insurmountable when the heroes of legend are gone.
But the truth is that Arvum can weather even days like these. For even the heroes of legend were merely men and women, people who faced impossible situations and made the best choices they could. And together, they came through.
Copper believed in you -- in /all/ of you. She believed that you could do the same. That if Arvum's peoples stand together, there is no obstacle they cannot overcome, no threat they cannot face. You don't need to seek aid from foreign powers; you don't need to accept the restricting Light of an Undying Emperor, or the heavy-handed bureaucracy of the Black Spire.
In Copper's name, in her memory, hold to that truth. Keep that knowledge close to your heart, and /remember/ it when you're asked to give up your choices, to accept the laws of some other land. For if Arvum stands together then, in time, /you/ will be the new heroes of legend.
And there are others in the world -- others already here -- who will stand by your side, through whatever may come.
