No Contact update

We have concerns that no-contact orders are expanding outside of the scope we envisioned for them when they were created, so we wanted to clarify policy around them.
No contact orders are meant to be issued in those rare cases where two individuals have not done anything warranting a ban, but are incapable of existing in the same scenes without impacting the enjoyment of everyone around them, or in those cases where someone has persisted in attempting to initiate direct interactions with someone who has made it clear that they are not interested in those interactions.
Not enjoying someone's RP or OOC demeanor is not justification for a no contact order. You are not required to play with people you don't enjoy interacting with, but your first step is to take the initiative to avoid those PCs yourself, and your second step should always be to let the player know that you are not interested in playing with them. This does not, and should not, bar characters from participating in your faction, in events you're attending, or plots you're involved with.
If someone, after being clearly told in a mail (CC'd to Staffer X) that you don't wish to play or interact with them, continues to pursue direct contact with you that you cannot reasonably avoid, then please reach out to staff about further steps which can be taken. Direct contact, in this case, would be posing directly at your character during events, forcing your character to deal with them in factional interaction, or seeking involvement in personal plots that you could not help but have to interact with them during. It does not include attendance at the same large events, belonging to the same faction, or being involved in the same large group plots.
