December

For the month of december, my focus will be to try to finish the backlog of staff work and GMing, and also establish the long term sustainability to avoid action freezes in the future. This is something that will be impossible for me to do if I have a lot of other things to deal with, so for the entire month of december, I would rather players not to put in +requests unless your character is stuck in a situation where they are unplayable until something is resolved (bugged, locked in a room that they can't exit, etc), or reporting someone being super creepy. Other than that, unless another staffer specifically asks you to put in a request for them to work on, please don't submit them. Otherwise, it should really wait for the new year or until I lift the staff break. Talking to other staffers is fine, but generally unless something is critical, I probably won't be available while I work on things and I might not notice pages at all.

GMing will still be happening, as I resolve a lot of backlog actions there's bound to be visible gameworld effects, but I generally won't be handling anything that's not currently in the queue. I would also really ask for people to please try to avoid organic RP that cannot be resolved without my involvement, so please steer clear of conflict RP. As a note, I turned off OC generation also, as I won't have time to look at those.

Generally speaking, my goal is to clear the docket of outstanding stories waiting resolution so I can hit the ground running narratively in 2020, and start driving the metaplot from an IC perspective and OOCly implement what we need for long term sustainability, particularly more staff, player run storytelling and systems to back them, and a lot more organic tools for conflict resolution and stories. The last couple months I've faced challenges where players, understandably looking to create story while actions have frozen, have kept generating things I was forced to respond to instead of the backlog, and I need to break free of that in order to get us ready for the new year. So on that note, don't be afraid of missing out during the holidays, as things might move a little slow as I'm focused entirely on the queues and what's been in the works for a while.
