Lodge Crisis Postmortem
Posted by Puffin on 11/18/18
In case you were wondering what a crisis looks like from a GM perspective - we had 48 different actions this crisis, with over 230 different characters participating.
There were 24 actions that didn't involve physical combat, ranging from rituals to trap-setting to evacuations to fortifications to fundraising, prayer, morale building - all sorts of things. There were 24 actions that did include combat - including scouting, gargantuans, corrupted creatures and cultists (hogwash really, but you know how the rumormill works). 7 PCs and hundreds of NPCs died during these events. Over 50 other PCs were within one hit of actually dying as well. Not all of these were on combat missions - combat is not the only way to face deadly peril after all. 30 different scenes were GM'd live, by 3 different GMs.
So. It's been a busy crisis. What's next? Well, the seeds of what's next were planted while we GM'd this crisis, and if you think there's trouble coming - you're probably right. Smaller things, stories specific to smaller groups but all intertwined with the overall story. If you have a smaller piece of the plot and you think it's super important - it probably is. If you think it's super important but only to you? You're probably wrong on that. Still, there's time yet. Plenty of time to RP and puzzle things out. To put in actions and investigations (which yes, open again tomorrow) and Do Big Things.
But not tonight. Tonight we rest, and maybe we drink heavily, and we have a good time.
For tomorrow, you may die.
