Take It Slow

I want to encourage players to take time before they respond to proclamations, particularly ones with major thematic implications. If someone is not sure how something works, or fits the world or the theme for their houses, please ask and take time, because otherwise people will feel blindsided if they take a position that is very hard to defend, or that the NPCs just would not support, particularly with wording that carries a lot of implications they might realize. Do not feel you have to respond to things immediately, and if you're in doubt, please ask- staff is happy to talk things over. This also goes for journals- remember that white journals aren't throw aways, if a character commits to a position there, it can and will reflect on them, so be very careful with that. We're looking to push more theme, and I'd encourage people to take it slow and consider what their characters say carefully.
We'll make a change to white journals that I think might help with this. Instead of posting instantly, we'll give a delay of several hours before they show up, to also represent the poor overworked Scholars of Vellichor having to tabulate the things. This will result of course in slowing down tit for tat exchanges so they aren't essentially real-time.
