Lodge Crisis FAQ

Hey folks! I've gotten some questions about this so I want to be very, very clear on this crisis and how I'm looking at it.
Q: Can both of my alts participate?
A: Sure, if they're both doing different things. Not just on different actions but actually on different things. So if your one alt is at the Lodge with the healers, your other alt can't be also at the Lodge with a different unit. They'd have to be at, say - the Oak Tree defending the spirits or something. Think of each area of engagement as a room at an event. You can go to different rooms if you want, but you can't be in the same room at the same time.
Q: Can I assist on several actions?
A: Can you? Yes, the code allows for that. Should you? Depends on the actions. There are rumors of things like fundraising events to support the war effort. If you're part of that action, those support and preparation actions get adjudicated first, and so you could reasonably do that and then show up at the watchtower to help the defense there. Could you be at the watchtower and the burrows simultaneously? No, no you cannot. Use your good sense here please.
Q: How big of an action are you looking for?
A: I hate to spoil this for you, but there probably won't be massive armies showing up. That's not to say there won't be combat or things to fight for, but this crisis is really focused on things like smaller group actions and chances for individual or small-group awesomeness.
Q: What if I'm up to 5-6 players on my action but more people want to help?
A: There is no requirement that says that every action has to be a unique snowflake in all the world. If you have a scouting action and a full group for a GM'd scene, and more people want to participate, tell them to open another action to participate by scouting! We will be able to tell more unique stories with a broader range of things discovered and done.
Q: My org is doing something cool but I'd rather do this other thing instead.
A: Keep it IC, and if they want to do a thing maybe work it out ICly that you're doing this other thing instead. That's ok. It's ok to be innovative!
Q: I had this idea but I'm not sure if it'll work or if it's even a good one. Can I ask about it beforehand?
A: Of course! However keep in mind your success will depend on how well you sell your story, what you do to support it, and how you roll or how the scene goes. But we are also willing to tell you if an idea you have is so far off the rails that you have no chance of success or it takes you well outside the scope of the crisis.
So. Good luck, have fun, and as we look at actions opening up remember that action refresh is 30 days, and that we will not be postponing the crisis deadline if you go nuts with action submissions and don't have any left for the crisis. Pick your battles! And if you pick too many battles, something's gotta give.
